Friendly and accommodating host. We felt badly we were late getting to the apartment on our arrival in Istanbul and Yusuf had to wait a long time from our original stated arrival time. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped for food preparation. Beautiful tiled bathroom. Lots of room in sitting room to be comfortable. Location close to the sites- a reasonable price. This is not a comment on this specific apartment but know that transportation to any apartment should be planned ahead and researched so as to understand how to arrive there from the airport. It is a long way to the old city from the airport. We did not do that and thankfully someone assisted us upon arriving. There is Uber in Istanbul but we had a bad experience with it upon leaving the apartment for the bus station. When you book through your Uber app, the drivers that come are not Uber. They are taxis and ask for cash and you must negotiate a price. Our experience with Uber has been that you pay by card on the app before the driver arrives. If you do not speak Turkish, you are at a disadvantage as our experience was that is not how it works in Istanbul.

The apartment is close to the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. It's clean, comfortable, has good wifi and overall offers great value. Our host Yusuf was very hospitable and made us feel right at home. P.S. Don't be scared by the look of the buildings on the street. The neighbourhood is super safe.

Very strong smell on arrival of air freshner . I have sensitive nose! This dissipated with air conditioner on. Bed sheet please buy 100% cotton 🙂Outside looks a bit sad but lovely as soon as the door opens .

A Spacious private unit to ourselves. Everything we needed was there. Great kitchen . Good shower pressure . Very handy with small convenience shop on the corner. Friendly neighbourhood. We ate at local restaurants and cafes. Easy walk to all sights . Clean and tidy unit .Quiet area. Just like the photos !

Unfortunately, Yusuf didn't warn that payment can only be made in cash, although the property’s page states that payment could be withdrawn from the linked card automatically before arrival. For this reason, we had to resolve this issue for three days, including attempts via portable ATM (unsuccessfully). Yusuf himself did not come, but he sent his relatives, who do not speak English (that was a problem also). As a result, we had to pay in TRY according to the local exchange rate (we lost a little money on this difference). So take cash with you in EUR or USD in advance. Also, the view from the window was slightly depressing (destroyed house opposite). Probably, for guests with limited mobility, the stairs will be a disadvantage (for me this was not a big problem).

Accommodation is very good! The host Yusuf was very polite, he was always in touch and ready to help. I would like to note the cleanliness of the accommodation. Every time I travel, I really appreciate it when I can walk around the rooms barefoot. Good shower, no leaks, stable hot water. The kitchen had everything you needed. Very nice bed, I slept very comfortably. Strong Wi-Fi connection.

I did not realize that our apartment was on the 4th floor. With the luggage, it was quite hard. It would also be good to get small information about how to reach the apartment from the two main airports. A short note like that is so helpful for each guest. The public transport we took on the first day was very complicated.

The apartment itself was very clean and modern. The location is also quite close to the attractions though it's not the best. Overall, I cannot complain too much for this price in Istanbul

Looks a bit untidy immediately outside but it’s original Istanbul and we got used to it after a day and had no issues at all people around were friendly and the area was was very safe for us no issues at all

The apartment was very clean, spacious and elegant, with everything you need, more than expected . And the hostess was extraordinary, he helped us with all the information we needed very promptly. He even helped us to place our luggage until the evening flight. We felt great in this apartment and it made our vacation much more enjoyable. We will definitely come back.

The house is 3 min walk from Beyzit tram station which makes it so easy to move around. The place is spacious, and has all the important things you need for your stay. The host, Yusuf, made all the arrangements to make our stay absolutely stress free.

Very good apartment, big enough, clean with all facilities you may need. Easy access to main tram line, also not too far (walking distance) from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Friendly and helpful host, quick to answer any questions on WhatsApp. streets around were full of little shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend 👍

There is nothing to dislike

The accomodation cosy, very nice, spatious and very clean with everything you need. Is so close from the bazar and the attractions, and also near the sea. The area is a cheap one with good restaurants where you can eat all types of food, traditionals and also internationals. The host, Yusuf is the best. He help us with everything we need, is a nice person and makes you feel welcome. He was interested if everything was fine and if we needed anything. I really recomanded this accomodation. Thank you for everything, if we come back to Istanbul, we will choose the same accomodation.

The bed & sofa were too hard for us, but this depends on one's taste I guess. An espresso machine would be nice in the future.

The apartments (we booked 2 apartments as we were 2 couples) look exactly like in the photos on Booking, they have all the needed facilities. The furniture is new and everything is very clean. Yusuf, the host, is very nice and welcoming. The location is maybe not in the nicest of neighborhoods, but it seemed safe enough and it's close to the main attractions within walking distance.

Visiting Sare House is a must, no better place to start learning historical Istanbul from. Let's be honest, it is not about shiny neighborhood with manicured lawns but about the true, core old city. The bed made me sleep +2 hours to my average. Special notice about the shower: you never expect it to be so steady in the old house, I can't imagine what it cost you. Yusuf, the family, the apartment itself - world class hospitality with not a single bad word to say. Thank you!
