The bathroom was private but I was under the impression that it was ensuite. Instead it was outside the room through a public area in a different corridor which was fine, just not expected it.

Very nice and friendly staff. Kept my luggage after check out. The location is great, in the center of Sultanahmet.

Perfect location to reach any part of the old town by foot in no time, you can even pop back in the apartment in the middle of the day of needed. Staff was helpful and very friendly, parking just outside the hotel with motorcycles was not an issue and felt very safe.

Amazing location close to all the historical sites. The sister and brother team that run the place are extremely responsive, helpful, and professional. The room is comfortable, clean, and quiet.

Esin and Ahmed were do thoughtful and just knew how to book anything I was interested to do. They have many brouchures and recommendations. Laundry service and airport transfer. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for 5 days and probably that is the cheapest place in this area that you can find. I didn’t expect too much for price that I paid but this place exceeded my expectations, I had very comfortable and cozy room,everything was so clean, owners were very friendly and kind. They always tried to help me if I had any problems. If you are looking for hostel in Istanbul, I would highly recommend this place.

Needed a bit of touching up but great value.

Location is spectacular! Staff were super friendly and helpful as well with directions and ideas. We arrived by uber since it was cheaper than a transport, but they drove us back to the airport for even cheaper (and more convenient!) We booked the budget double, but they upgraded us to the standard double since it was available. Rooms are small but they have everything you need!

It was truly a pleasure staying at Tulip! Located right in the heart of Sultanahmet, the location couldn't be more perfect — just a short walk from all the major historical sites. The staff were exceptionally kind and always available to help with any questions or requests. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. A wonderful experience overall — highly recommended for anyone visiting Istanbul!

We are super happy with our choice to stay at Tulip Guesthouse. Top location next to Hagia Sofia and the Blue mosque. There is a tram just 5 min away from the guesthouse - easy access to the city center of Istanbul. The room and bathroom were small but enough. The staff cleaned the room and changed the towels every day. The hosts were great to us - very kind and talkative people. The bonus was the parking spot for our car. If you would like to explore the city and then have a clean and comfy place to rest then this place is for you. Thank you for the hospitality! If we go back to Istanbul we will stay at the guesthouse again.

Ships using their horn sometimes early in the morning in the nearby shore can be heard from the room but they are not frequent. The wifi signal is not very strong.

The hosts Esin and Ahmet are super friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is calm, super clean and amazingly located in Sultanahmet neighbourhood.

My room (the one with the shared bathroom) is right by the lobby, so if people are coming and going at night it can be a bit noisy. This was only an issue on one night due to some inconsiderate guests who were talking loudly. For those who are light sleepers, I recommend one of the other rooms as they are further away from the entrance.
