Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandThe only thing I didn't like was the surroundings. There were hardly any good place to eat in the night after 9 pm.
The staff and the breakfast were great. The room was spacious to accomodate five of us. The location was close to metro, bus station and tram. Sulemaniya Mosque and Grand Bazar were at a walkable distance from the location. No lift in the hotel but staff helped us in taking our luggage. Water, Tea, Coffee were available free all the time in the hotel.

BelarusIt's really noisy, because of subway next to the hotel. But it's the best location to explore the city, next to the subway 😃 Staff is cool, good breakfast, pretty big and clean room, bed was comfortable. Nice terrace for breakfast, where you can go and stay anytime. Everything you need.

AzerbaijanNo elevator. WC and bath are small. M2 train line is near to hotel and noise can disturb the visitors. Personally, for me it was not an issue.
Location, breakfast, cleanness and staff. B&B hotel. Excellent choice who acquire budget hotel less than a week and which is near to transport hubs ( Metro Halic, Eminonu train T1, T5, Sirkeci (Marmaray line)), Eminonu boat(Vapur) lines.

GreeceThe rooms weren't very clean. One of the bathrooms was quite small and smelled of damp, while the other was full of mold on the ceiling and was leaking water. The breakfast was mediocre and the floor had many damages. An affordable hotel, but with many drawbacks!"
On the positive side, the hotel is located in a central area, next to all means of transportation. It has a beautiful view of the Bosphorus, and the staff at the reception were always eager to assist us with a smile. Truly amazing people! An affordable hotel, but with many drawbacks!"

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWe had a wonderful stay in Istanbul. Hotel had nice family rooms that offered good comfort and it was at really good location, well connected with different types of transportation (tram, metro, boat) or if you prefer walking it is just few hundred meters from Eminonu. The staff were always friendly, smiling and kind. I think this hotel gives good value for money paid.

SloveniaLocation (rail is literally few meter away and it can be quite loud in the night, as the metro drives by quite frequenty - it takes some getting used to). Hotel and its interior is a bit older, but still worth the price.
Location (cca 10 minutes walk from H. Sofia, Grand Bazar, etc.), view from the terrace, hotel staff.

United KingdomNothing at all. A perfect spot for pretending to be a local. Would happily return!
Only planned to sleep here, but ended up falling head over heels for the breakfast. The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety — and don’t even get me started on the Turkish tea and olives. The room was comfy and spacious, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were absolute gems — friendly, polite, and so easy to get along with, especially Simo, who was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. Location? Chef’s kiss. The terrace alone is a jackpot. Metro, bus, and tram stops are right across the road, and there’s a handy little market and some great restaurants just downstairs.

⸻ “Perfect Location and Wonderful Staff!” The location was excellent – most of the famous historical sites were within walking distance, which made exploring very convenient. As we were traveling with small children and the weather was quite hot, we occasionally used taxis and the tram, which were also easy to access from the hotel. The staff were truly amazing – a special thanks to Semu, Hamza, and Ayub, who were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. We arrived quite late at night, and Semu went out of his way to help us find delicious kebabs nearby and even provided us with an iPhone charger when we realized the plugs in Turkey are different from those in the UK. Overall, a wonderful stay with warm hospitality – highly recommended!

KazakhstanWe stayed for 6 nights with my mom and were very satisfied! The hotel is located in a perfect spot, right next to all kinds of transportation. Thanks to its location, we were able to walk around the Sultanahmet area and the Old City, and also take a Bosphorus tour from the pier just across the street. It was easy to get anywhere from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and they make fresh Turkish tea, which was a nice touch. Throughout the day, water, lemonade, tea, and coffee were available for free — very thoughtful. Breakfast is served on a terrace with an absolutely stunning view of the Bosphorus, the bridges, and the Galata Tower — such a beautiful atmosphere! The hotel is cozy. We stayed in a double room and there was enough space. The metro line runs nearby, but we weren’t disturbed. Housekeeping was done regularly, and each time before we left the room, the staff asked if we needed cleaning. I especially want to highlight the helpful and friendly staff. My mom had a flight in the evening, and I had to leave early the next morning at 6 AM. They prepared an early breakfast for me, so I got to enjoy one last breathtaking sunrise before leaving. The staff was kind and attentive. This hotel is definitely worth the money. We’d love to come back again!
