The stay was perfect. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, helping us with everything we needed. The view of the hot air balloons at sunrise was wonderful, even from so far away. The traditional breakfast was served on the beautiful terrace, and the rooms were very characteristic of the area.

Honestly, we loved everything about our stay in the Takaev cave hotel. Upon arrival in the city itself, we were a bit overwhelmed with everything, (new landscape, environment etc). However, once we arrived at the hotel, we felt a weight lifted off our shoulders. The staff was very kind. Huge shout-out to AZIZ!!! We couldn't have asked for a better host. Very gentle, kind hearted, very helpful and easy to chat to. He helped us plan our entire trip, filling it with really fun activities. The place was clean and well located if you want to explore the unique landscapes and do all the cool activities. I personally wasn't expecting to enjoy my stay as much as I did. The caves are beautiful and cozy. We will actively recommend the place to friends and families etc. We were sad to leave the Takaev Caves but we will definitely be back!!! :) Thanks a bunch guys!!!!

I'm glad I chose Takaev for my stay in Cappadocia. Uçhisar is quieter than Göreme but still has nice shops and restaurants. The hotel offers a stunning view, both from the window and the balcony. My room was authentically decorated and very comfortable. Ahmed and Aziz were incredibly helpful and kind, arranging tours and assisting with reservations.

We had such a great time! The hotel’s location and especially the view were absolutely stunning. Everyone on the staff was super helpful and friendly, and we want to give a special thanks to Mr. Aziz. The location is amazing, you can watch the hot air balloons from the terrace and walk to Uchisar castle. There is also a nice trail that we recommend through Pigeons Valley up to Goreme. It takes about 40 min. The breakfast is good and the room is spacious and calm

Amazing location, wonderful helpful staff and great value for authentic Turkish Cave Hotel in Cappadocia. The manager Aziz assisted us with all tour bookings and airport transfers...he is very professional & knowledgeable....my advice is do as he suggests 👌Sadly other guests that tried to save $50 on tours got cancelled and missed out on hot air balloon ride 😔 which is a must do at sunrise!

The Takaev Cave House is located in the older part of Uchisar, directly under the spectacular castle. Having seen both Uchisar and Goreme, I would strongly recommend Uchisar - Goreme is much more touristy (and frankly more tacky) than Uchisar was has largely retained much of its originality, especailly near the hotel. Parking is available on the (allegedly one-way) street if you are arriving by car, usually within a very short walk of the hotel. Access to the hotel and to all the rooms is down some fairly steep steps. The staff are undoubtedly the highlight of the hotel, particularly Aziz ad Darin - they were helpful, attentive and provided an excellent experience and their English is great. The room was lovely, with a window opening out onto the valley so that you could watch the balloons at sunrise (having been woken by the call to prayer from a very adjacent mosque!). The bathroom was well equipped and functioning, although the shower could have done with some restoration to sort a very leaky shower head and a broken bracket. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (although much the same every day) and it was a real treat to sit on the balcony in the sun every morning. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend the hotel.

There is no housekeeping and this is not ideal for a 4 night stay as the floor in this cave room gets dusty very quickly. This is partly our fault as they would have cleaned the room had we asked. However, a quick daily cleaning of the floor and taking out the rubbish seems reasonable for this type of hotel with nice suites.

The location of the hotel is excellent with a beautiful view of the Pigeon Valley and the Goreme Hills. The breakfast terrace has the best view. The room was large and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests you may have. Excellent English and easy to communicate with. We had some problems with the shower and it was fixed within a day. The breakfast was very good.

Everything was great about the property

The property is beautifully location right at the foothill of the uchasir castle with an awesome view. The rooms are clean and neat! The service is great. The host Aziz and Darrin are very helpful and you can reach out to them for anything. They helped us a lot. The cafe, food and the breakfast is great as well.

Takaev Cave House is a truly unique and memorable experience.
