Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaI absolutely loved my stay here! The hotel has a charming old-style atmosphere, yet it’s very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The family who runs it is incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the experience feel even more special. The garden is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing — fresh, generous, and full of local flavors. I highly recommend this place, especially for longer stays. For sure I will be back!

United StatesHEY, ALL SMILES!! I LIKED EVERYTHING HERE!! VERY HAPPY! THANKS SO MUCH! so here are some notes for fellow travelers...as I type too much and out of room in above section. The hotel has great suggestions for all side of the city and how to get around. Gulsah and Vedas are also available easily via WhatsApp for any questions. And they have restaurant suggestions in Uskudar and Kadikoy (in Kadikoy it is a foodie mecca, I took a foodie tour with friends on both sides of the city earlier in my trip, and Kadikoy has tons of options). It is easy to get to Istanbul's other sides from here via ferry (I used the available hotel's Istanbul Transport card), so one day I walked to the Uskudar ferries and went across to the New City to explore including the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art. Another day, I walked down the hill to see Kuzguncuk Uskudar area with its colorful old homes plus the nearby shops and cafes on the leafy pleasant avenue. I had fresh squeezed orange juice at a garden nursery/breakfast cafe along the way. Then I continued over to see the Beylerbeyi Palace and walked back up the hill to return to hotel. Might be too much walking for some, but there is plenty of transportation options and the hotel has great instructions for getting around. One day I used hotel transport card for bus line 12A to/from Kadikoy to spend most of my last day there (I was there earlier on my trip while on a foodie tour with friends). I also explored areas of Kadikoy that were more local. This Hotel will help with booking a ride back to airports if necessary. I decided to let them book taxi for me to IST airport which was helpful (I paid taxi driver direct) rather than using the app. (Brief outline of my trip: I stayed initially in the Old City, then flew to Trabzon, then returned to Old City at another hotel to be near visiting friends, then flew to Izmir for Sirince and Selcuk (Ephesus) , then my final stay here.) I WANT TO RETURN HERE!! :)
This hotel was perfect!! Very friendly and helpful. Gulsah was so very helpful with logistics and suggestions for what to see, how to get from here to there, and where to eat locally. I previously had stayed at two hotels in the Old City, and this was my final Türkiye Istanbul stay (after flying in via Izmir from my Sirince/Selcuk visits). My total trip was 3 weeks, at this hotel for 4 nights. A very comfortable, clean home/hotel with traditional decor from the family, wonderful architectural details... it all lent to a friendly, quiet ambience. My bed was super comfortable and I slept so well. I had the top floor bedroom (lots of winding stairs to my room but it did not bother me, and is part of the inherent architectural character). The room had pleasant neighborhood views above the garden. My room also had a balcony terrace that I didn't use as the nights were cooler during my stay and I was out most of the day. I booked this hotel based on reviews and was interested in the Asian Side of Istanbul. A neighbor of mine here in LA is from Istanbul and suggested the Asian side, and as I had previously stayed in the Old City, to try it for a more local feel. I loved this quiet location and the hotel. The included breakfast in the cafe downstairs was perfect. I purchased lunch here, and also a delicious dinner one night. I highly recommend this hotel! I felt so comfortable, and Gulsah and their team were very friendly and helpful and great conversations with Gulsah that reconfirmed how much I like travelling. Plus their suggestions (more I describe below) and it is easy and nice to take a ferry across to the other side of the city. While I was "travel-tired" after three weeks and not looking forward to my long return direct flight to LA California, I also did not want to leave as I felt the good energy here at this hotel. And so, someday I must come back! I WANT TO RETURN and stay here again!! Thanks so much!!

SpainOverpriced rooms, the staff was distant and not attentive with us. They made us wait 10mins with no explanation. Breakfast was way too simple for the price.
The hotel is in a nice area. The café is very beautiful and the house as well.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThat question doesn’t quite apply here—it simply doesn’t fit the situation.
"I longed for a stay steeped in Ottoman charm, and this quaint little haven answered that call. Wrapped in greenery and graced with timeless design, the house felt like a dream etched in wood and stone. From the moment we passed through the welcoming door, wandered the serene lobby, and entered our room, every corner whispered beauty and left memories blooming in its wake."

United KingdomJust be sure you are comfortable about the location. It is a little out of the central areas and up a hill. We knew this was the case and enjoyed seeing a bit more of a typical neighbourhood and experiencing daily life. However for shorter trips or those who don’t want to travel much it might not be suitable. However regular buses to the seafront run almost immediately outside down the hill and then you can enjoy the romantic ferry journey across the Bosporus.
The property is a beautiful historical home with many original period features retained in the rooms and building. The garden and modern cafe next door are a wonderful contrast to the historical building and a lovely setting for breakfasts. Speaking of, the breakfast is delicious and incredibly generous - setting you up for a big day of site seeing. The staff were all so welcoming and so kind, allowing us to leave our bags at the hotel after check out to explore the city.

United Kingdom1. The breakfast was average, as I was expecting to have an authentic Turkish or Ottoman-style experience. 2. I had to extend my stay due to unforeseen circumstances, and they offered me a room in a separate garden building. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable damp smell, and smoke constantly drifted in from the garden.
I stayed 2 nights in the suites. I loved the nostalgic charm of the house and room. They maintained the authenticity with antique furniture, which was a lovely touch. Staff was very helpful.

GreeceI wish the breakfast could start a bit earlier. Be also mindful that the prayer starts at 4:30 am and you might be a bit surprised but the Imam had a great voice so I didn't mind it after all.
I can't express how happy and grateful I am for this beautiful place! People were very welcoming and helpful, they were waiting for me until late. The decoration is exceptional, I felt like I was getting hosted by a traditional Turkish house. The cleaning was great, everything was spotless. I wish I could spend more nights there, I will definitely go back. It's pretty obvious that the owners love what they do and they have put so much love and attention to every detail!
