The location is perfect to see all the best monuments of Istanbul, the value for the rooms can’t be beat, and the staff are warm and welcoming. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Istanbul!

Hotel S'ebnem is in a great location. It is situated near waterfront of Bosphorus. It is in the heart of the historical Old City of Istanbul. Blue Mosque, Aja Sophia, Topcapi Palace Museum. etc. are in 3-5 min walk from hotel. The staff is very welcoming.

Rukiye and Jakub were Lovely hosts and the service in general was outstanding. The Terrace is very nice and the location is very near from every activity like mosques and topkapi. It is a very calm place, including in the night. We were a family of four . We enjoyed staying in this hotel and highly recommend it.

We really appreciated our stay in the Sebnem hotel. The team is really nice, they helped us a lot on everything, such as suggestions of visits. They are keen on making your holidays as comfortable as possible, and we had very interesting discussions with them. Definitely the place where to sleep and to meet good people.

The only downside was that the Wi-Fi did not work on the terrace, which made it difficult to sit there in the evening and use the internet

The hotel is small but very cozy, with an excellent location. Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet are nearby, as well as a bus stop and Bosphorus tour departures. If you are looking for a place to stay in the historical area while still being able to reach other beautiful spots easily, this hotel is perfect for you. I especially want to highlight the exceptional friendliness of the staff – it is simply beyond praise. The team is very welcoming and always ready to help with anything. Yakup and Rukiye were incredibly helpful and made my trip even better. Especially Rukiye – she is like an angel of this hotel. Many thanks to everyone. I will definitely stay here again next time

A couple of fixtures in my room did not function.

The staff of this hotel were absolutely lovely. I can't recall the first woman's name, but she deftly steered me through a throng of restaurant hawkers to a great restaurant. Jacob offered ideas about what to do, made sure I tried Turkish coffee, and was all around great to talk to. Also, the terrace is beautiful and air conditioned during breakfast.

The location was amazing, just a few mins walk from key attractions. We were really well looked after by the lovely and friendly staff. While it wasn't a luxury hotel it's a fantastically located, great value and comfortable place to stay.

Only thing I’d suggest is some maintenance is needed to replace loose door handles and some fixtures and fittings in the room and bathroom that are missing, like blown lightbulbs needing replacing as it was a bit dark, but the room was good value and these issues did not really affect our stay.

Such a lovely team working here. Great location, amazing breakfasts and a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. There were a few power cuts while we stayed in Istanbul so we did lose aircon on the second afternoon until late that night, but the team did all they could to help and went out of their way to apologise.

Having to pay cash in € for the rooms - and yes I know I was warned in advance but it does not stop me from not liking it. Being charged €5 for storing luggage for 4 hours.

Amazing location, really couldn’t beat it especially if you are travelling like us on a budget and are utilising walking and public transport. The staff were so incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help with recommendations and to make our stay comfortable. Jacob and the other young lady at the front desk made our experience 10/10. The owner (we assume) was very accommodating to our budget friendly needs. We would highly recommend Şebnem hotel to anyone looking to visit old Istanbul!!

We had such a great stay at this hotel. The location is unbeatable — it’s just a 5-minute walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the waterfront. There are also countless restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby, which made exploring the city even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible service from Yakup at the front desk. He welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. On the first day, he sat down with us and went over a map of Istanbul, pointing out all the major attractions and helping us plan our route. Thanks to him, we were able to get around easily and make the most of our time. Honestly, he’s one of the best hotel staff I’ve ever met! The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. It cost only €10, which is cheaper than most nearby restaurants, and it was absolutely delicious. We loved starting our day with a hearty Turkish breakfast while enjoying the cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul — it’s a perfect base for sightseeing, and the service really made us feel at home.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, can't do enough to help in any way We were fully expecting a 'get what you pay for' type stay but it far exceeded our expectations, the value for money is amazing and I'd absolutely recommend staying here 100%

Absolutely loved our stay at Sebnem Hotel! The location is perfect - tucked away on a quiet street but just minutes from the heart of Sultanahmet. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and full of charm, and the staff went above and beyond with directions, local tips, and sightseeing advice. Truly the best breakfast of my entire life - fresh, homemade, and served with stunning views over the Bosphorus from the rooftop terrace. Would stay again in a heartbeat (and am doing so at the end of my trip!)
