Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongThe staff are helpful even though they need to communicate with the translation app, and they will try the best help. The room is clean and big. They help me book for the hot air ballon trip and the price is competitive.

United KingdomThe location isn't great - I'd only recommend staying here if you have access to car. The WiFi was also slow.
The staff are very friendly, the rooms are nice and there are some very good common areas. The breakfast was excellent.

United Arab EmiratesJust the location. Everything else was perfect.
Breakfast was amazing. Room was super comfy and the staff were really helpful. The location was a bit away from Goreme, so it would take you around 150TL to get to Goreme. Else you can walk for around 2km to Nevsehir and get a bus.

IrelandWe are not claustrophobic so we loved the cave atmosphere, but I imagine that for people who are, visiting underground cities and sleeping in a cave can be a problem.
Goreme is lovely but quite touristic. Saliche Cave Suite Hotel's location was perfect as it was quiet, but still very accessible to all sites. We were lucky to have a rented car, but all tours can come to pick you up if you don't have transport. The hotel has been built in the caves and around cones, so it looks really quaint and picturesque. The bedrooms are so beautiful that we couldn't decide and booked 2 nights in one room and 1 night in another in the same hotel! Konak Saliche is a bedroom that features a stone bath inside a grotto, Cemal Sureya is a bedroom with an upstairs floor that features a jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing after a days visit. The hotel is very tastefully decorated. Hatice and Samet made us feel very welcome. The breakfast served on the rooftop covered terrace was lovely and plentiful. You can order a takeaway for dinner and they will serve it on plates for you. There is no over place I would like to stay if I went back to Cappadocia... or maybe book a different bedroom in that same hotel :-))

IndiaThe hotel is extremely beautiful. It gives the real feels of living in a cave suite. The staff was polite and extremely accommodating. They didn’t know english, yet they took the time and spent the effort to translate their language on translator and make a connection with us. It was snowing that day and the view from their terrace was absolutely stunning.

United KingdomThe room we booked had a 'private pool' which was cool, but essentially a large bathtub/hot tub and meant that the "bed" was just a mattress on the floor which could only be accessed by a steep ladder through a small hole in the ceiling. The mattress didn't even fit on the floor and overlapped the hole where you entered up the ladder. There was no AC and no fan available, so we asked to change rooms after 1 night as it was much too hot to possibly sleep (and this was in early Sept). We were indeed able to change rooms, and got one with AC (which you definitely need) which was good. As you're in caves it's always just a bit damp (especially in the bathrooms as there's no ventilation) so there's always a bit of a smell and some humidity - however it is also much cooler than outside. The windows in the rooms are TINY and mean that they are permanently very dark, and the lighting is extremely dim (permanent "mood" kind of lighting, using only uplights and none in the ceiling). Our room was never cleaned while we were there (although to be fair don't think the booking said it would be, so just don't assume it will be like a regular hotel). There was a dog wandering around the hotel (who was friendly but barked A LOT at people arriving/leaving - including at 4am). There was also a litter of puppies just living in the terrace where you eat, which wasn't a big deal but they were quite dirty and unexpected at a hotel. There's no official reception and everything was close together so you heard EVERYTHING from other rooms/residents, which often woke you up in the mornings. Breakfasts were traditional Turkish breakfasts, which was v salty. The staff didn't speak English, you needed Google translate readily available to communicate.
Overall this was a fairly cheap hotel and you got what you paid for - if you're on a budget then go for this place but I think there are better deals elsewhere for a nicer experience. The location was quite out of town, and to get a taxi into Goreme cost about £10 each time (so at least £20 a day), so keep that in mind when calculating your best deal. This was cheaper per night than other options but once we added this into the equation it didn't end up being that much cheaper than other options. Internet didn't work for a couple of days but once reported it did get fixed. They did try to charge us for drinking alcohol we bought from an outside shop on their terrace which they had never warned us about beforehand - but when we disputed this they dropped the charge.

NorwayWe selected the hotel because we thought the room would be in a cave, but it was not. The next day we discovered that they did have some cave roms, but that would be more expensive. Remote location, very difficult to find somewhere to eat in the neighbourhood. Breakfast was server very late, from 9

United StatesThe location was farther from Cappadocia activities than expected. And the toilet room had a sour smell that did not leave. However, we could keep the door closed so it wouldn't spread.
Wonderful room! Huge bathtub, fun cave atmosphere. Nice big bed, and good wifi. The location is only a 10 minute walk to the Kapadokya forum (mall) which is a nice place to shop and get a taxi from. The staff were so kind, serve a wonderful breakfast in the mornings, and let us leave our bags during the day after checkout before we went to the airport.
