As a cave-style hotel, part of its charm includes unique architectural features—but just a heads-up for taller guests: both my wife and I are around 6 feet tall, and the stairs to our second-floor room had lower ceilings in spots. I bumped my head a couple of times, but it was minor and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Just something to be mindful of when booking!

The Safran Cave Hotel was a beautiful and unique experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and full of character with traditional decor and a cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel truly welcomed. Breakfast was generous and delicious, served on a scenic terrace. One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace—absolutely spectacular views of the cityscape and a perfect spot to watch the hot air balloons take flight at sunrise. It’s an Instagram-worthy shot for all you influencers out there! The location was also perfect—close to the town center yet quiet enough for a restful night’s sleep.

Staff seems to be rather interested to sell over-priced tourist packages to the new arrivals one minute after check-in (or was it already before check-in?) - be prepared!

Nice place, well located, with a terrace to watch the balloons in early morning (we also went to Love Valley at 5 am). Room not big, but nicely decorated.

Wonderful hotel in Göreme, staff are very nice and helpful, breakfast is great and the restaurant too. Free and safe parking is available close by and the hotel is located just off the centre of the town in a quiet location. Highly recommend staying here.

May 2025 – Japanese couple in their 30s We stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a wonderful experience. Shortly after we completed our booking, the hotel contacted us directly, letting us know that we could reach out anytime if we had any questions. This thoughtful gesture immediately put us at ease. As we were interested in joining a hot air balloon tour, they kindly checked the availability and pricing for us in advance. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed at the reception, where the staff gave us a thorough explanation of the hotel facilities, a city map, and useful information about tours. There was always someone—either the owner or a staff member—present at the reception, and they also exchanged contact information with us so we could reach them anytime during our stay. Their hospitality was truly reassuring. We specifically wanted a room with a bathtub, so we booked a suite. The room exceeded our expectations and is something we would highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing bath. The hotel had a cave-style design, offering the unique atmosphere of a cave without the discomfort of dampness or darkness—it was the best of both worlds. The bathroom was spotless and well-maintained, and thanks to the powerful ventilation system, humidity was never an issue. The bathtub also had a jacuzzi function, which made it even more enjoyable. The hotel as a whole was charming and beautifully designed. Breakfast was served in a lovely glass-walled terrace area, where we could enjoy a selection of Turkish-style dishes. Everything was delicious and satisfying, though we would have appreciated a bit more variety in vegetables. From the breakfast area and nearby outdoor terrace, we could see hot air balloons rising in the early morning sky. While they didn’t come very close during our stay, the sight of numerous balloons floating at sunrise was breathtaking.

Absolutely lovely stay at SAFRAN Cave Hotel. This place provides the best hospitality with beautiful, clean rooms, great food and top notch customer service. Feride was wonderful throughout the stay with recommendations on tours. She got us a great low price for the hot air balloons. The breakfast was exceptional for the 3 days we ate in with changes to the menu. We checked out very early and Feride offered us sandwiches for which we were very grateful. The location is great with a minutes walk to Göreme town centre but still very quiet. The room was lovely as in the photos. I have stayed in many hotels over the years but this was one of the rare occasions where everything was just so perfect.

We had a great experience with Safaran Cave hotel. The hosts were amazing. They helped us with everything including booking all the tours like ATV tour, Jeep Ride, Hot air baloon, Red tour, Turkish night show. They gave us discounted price for all tours, even reduced prices when they went down and personally spoke to the guides & touring company to ensure we get best experience. The hotel also is lovely, clean. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was very good.
