Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe hotel is in a great location, a short walk from the bus station, and right on a main corner with stores and food nearby. I was after a trip to surrounding sights, including Mt. Nemrut and it was quickly and easily arranged at the hotel for the same day that I arrived. Room was comfortable, had AC, and provided good Wi-Fi.

United KingdomDifferent prices for turkish and foreigners for "sunrise tour". I got offered 3 different prices whilst trying to book. Communication about the "free" pickup service is difficult.
Friendly staff, comfy warm bed, decent wifi, free breakfast.

RomaniaThe tour to Nemrut was not guided in fact. The "guide" was only driving us. Be aware you cannot pay by card. Only cash.
Excellent location, easy to find. Owner is organizing tours to mount Nemrut and other 4 places. Good brekfast.

United KingdomIt's notoriously difficult to find information online about tours to Mt Nemrut - the owner seems to be one of the only guides.in town - here's my experience. I was quoted 55 euros for a short tour and 65 for a long tour (August 2024) which includes a couple of extra sites. I was able to haggle down the price 10 euros, but only because I had a museum card. I did actually find someone else in town who was prepared to take me for less but they refused when I told them where I was staying. The tour ended up being a private one as no one else turned up. To be fair to the owner I did appreciate him still taking me because he could have easily canceled. However I still felt that the 55 euros I spent was too expensive, the owner/guide was really unenthusiastic as well despite my best efforts at conversation. I felt particularly rushed at sunset, I'm sure a taxi could have taken me for the same price.
Hotel itself was fine and good value for what I paid - large room with air con. The owner's relatives seem to be managing the hotel administration and contracts out the cleaners all the staff were great despite limited English.

United KingdomSlightly dilapidated hotel in need of some renovation. Comfortable enough for one night, but a bit overpriced for what you get. Location was good; 5min walk from the bus station.

South AfricaVery centrally located. Perfect base to visit Mount Nemrut. Clean, comfortable hotel with good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Great owner that gave us invaluable advice and travel tips. Arranged a fantastic dinner at an authentic Turkish home restaurant in one of the villages, transport included. Took us to Mount Nemrut at 3:00 the next morning to see the sun rise. We would probably not have driven there ourselves. Also took us to see a 200 year old Roman bridge and other attractions, that we would have missed if we went on our own. Walking distance of restaurants and shops. Very easy to find and private parking on the premises.

NetherlandsWe booked 3 rooms, non of them were clean: 1 room had no curtains nor windows to open, 1 room had a light that we weren't able to turn off, 1 room smelled of sewage, two rooms smelled of sigaretes and had ash in the bathroom as well as dirty towels left from the previous guests. It was very expensive for the poor quality we got.
Room is spacious and bed comfortable, location is central with private parking.

SlovakiaThis was a nice place to book. It was a wooden cottage and it reminded of my childhood. We had private bathroom and everything was perfectly clean. They were very nice and helpful here as one of my friend had a heat stroke. The breakfast was really good with a view of the city. We had really nice talk and tea in the evening with the owners. I would recommend this place to any traveler.

United StatesIt is a very basic hotel (definitely the old shacks). i was kept waiting for check-in for quite some time. was told some pic needed to be taken of my room so had some new beddings which was then abruptly taken away (as it was meant only for the photo shoot). was moved into a room into the newer construction but the toilets were used. i was tired so just gave up than ask to be moved again. there was ongoing construction and the staff is not well trained (big smelly open trash bin was kept in the elevator as the staff forgot to move it out). price quoted for tours was astronomical - it looks like in this town you have to go with the hotel you stay in. better to get your own car or stay in different town if you want to to nemrut. strangely both the guest and staff spoke in hushed tones. Breakfast was terrible. Stay here if you are okay with basics and don't care about anything else.
