Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The property is very clean with wonderful and helpful staff members. Matt and his colleagues are very nice and polite in giving advice and directions. The property is within walking distance to Uçhisar castle and pigeon valley. As we like walking, we enjoyed its walking proximity and quietness.

AustraliaNothing - we loved everything.
My partner and I loved everything about this hotel, the reception area was very welcoming, had a great atmosphere and was decorated beautifully. Our room was spacious, beautiful and clean. The balcony was a nice touch, the bed was VERY comfortable and there was parking available on site. ALL staff on site (reception and breakfast) were extremely helpful, very friendly and respectful. Breakfast was usually at 8.30am however they offered to cook breakfast for us at 7.30am so we could eat beforehand as we had to check out early. We would definitely stay here again without any hesitation. Thank you so much to the team at Moonstone for making this such an amazing stay!

United StatesThere is nothing I did not like. The location could be closer to town but it is not an inconvenience and they provide transportation almost on demand.
My stay at Moonstone Cappadocia was amazing! The staff was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate every need. It has a cozy boutique feel, but you can feel the big passion behind everything they do. Highly recommend for a warm and memorable experience in Cappadocia!

PhilippinesIt was unfortunate that the internet was very slow and spotty during my entire stay. The concierge explained that it was a provider issue and all the hotels in the area were affected.
The room I got was very spacious. All the amenities in the room worked well. I think the best thing is the hotel staff especially the concierge who would constantly check up on everything I needed. Since the hotel is based in Uchisar, it’s a bit further away from the main area but the location is safe and quiet. There’s a couple of groceries that’s a 10-minute walk away.

AustraliaWould highly recommend this hotel, stayed there for 3 days in April, the team at the reception was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. It is located close to uschisar so was quieter then the busy goreme. The staff happily accomodated our request of making the stay special since we were here for our honeymoon and upgraded us to the presidential suite. The breakfast was always served fresh everyday and the terrace had views of the Uchisar castle. Overall, the location of this hotel is close to goreme city centre/markets and other attractions such as Sunset view cafe, underground city and open air museum and the generous hospitality of the staff makes it a perfect stay.

AustraliaEverything was great!
Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Turkey. We came in winter and the heavy snow made it basically impossible to do anything in town, but the comfortable rooms, nice breakfast, reliable wifi and extremely friendly and helpful staff made our time here enjoyable. There's even a service that delivers food direct to your door, which was a life safer as we basically couldn't leave for a couple of days due to the snow. A+ highly recommend.

Our stay at Moonstone in Cappadocia was incredible. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and generous, beyond our expectations. They gave us tips, helped us book transportation and tours, and went the extra mile to ensure our needs were met. Though the room appeared to be newly furnished, the stone walls make it feel very authentic. The breakfast was amazing, served in a lovely restaurant with a nice view of the landscape surrounding the hotel. The location is also good, close to a bus stop and within walking distance from the city center, where Uchisar castle is. We arrived quite late but staff was ready to help us even then, and also early in the morning when we left for a tour. Fantastic experience all around, recommended!

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing negative to say.
Excellent service from all the staff.. We arrived on the overnight bus so we were very early. We were allowed up to the roof terrace and made a mug of coffee. We were allowed to join for breakfast and then given morning coffee and cake. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast was amongst the best we have eaten in terms of quality, quantity, and range of options. On the second morning, We saw balloons landing in the field next to the hotel. As this is wind dependent, I can't guarantee it for all guests. Tours and excursions pick up at the hotel. Goreme a 250 TL taxi ride. Uchisar castle a 15-minute walk away. No meals other than breakfast but a range of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

GermanyProbably we gained some weight cause of the amazing breakfast ;) Apart of this: didnt matter to us but nice to know for some people. The place is a tiny bit out of town. To get to the heart of uchisar u need an easy 15 minute walk (also save at night) or couple minute drive. For us it didnt bother as we like to have a small walk after dinner to settle the food or just took the bus from down the road to derinkuyu/göröme which is just a minute away.
While you arrive to moonstone in cappadocia you already getting excited by the beauty of the building (especially in the evening) and getting afterwards a warm welcome from the hotel staff maybe even with a small welcome treat from the kitchen :) Our room was really spacious with a beautiful terrace to hang out in the morning or evening, beautiful furnished and equipped with all essentials you need during your stay. All the hotel staff from reception to kitchen is super attentive and always happy to help you out with any questions or needs. At breakfast you can choose from a huge variation of cheeses, sweets, vegetables, different kind of olives, müsli, a variation of turkish spreads (changed during the week) and some warm stuff like sucuk or omelet (also changed during the week). We were every morning excited to see whats new and get some favourites from the day before.

Everything! This place is a hidden gem. The hotel is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The rooms are amazing with beautiful views. The breakfast changes daily and the chef will accomodate requests. The food needs to be seen to be believed!!!! This is family run and the people who work there are extremely helpful and kind. They booked us a hot air balloon flight, helped us with taxis and also gave advice on what to do in the area. They were genuinely interested in how our day was and that we were having the best time possible. They could not do enough for us.

IrelandThe hotel's location is perfect as it is close to the city centre and other public amenities, also offering stunning views of the unique rock formations and fairy chimneys that Cappadocia is famous for. The room was very clean, spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities we could ask for. The hotel's staff were incredibly helpful in arranging activities for us, from hot air balloon rides to guided tours of the ancient sites and valleys.

AustraliaAs the hotel is away from the main township area, it would be a great addition if the hotel provided lunch and dinner options at an extra cost. There were dogs barking loudly nearby early in the morning which woke me from sleep. We stayed on the first floor and you could hear loud thumping footsteps upstairs above us in the evenings.
The staff at Moonstone in Cappadocia were so friendly and helpful. They arranged a lovely fruit platter for my Mum's birthday. One of the receptionists drove us in his own car to the town area and also helped to arrange our laundry service. The breakfast spread was good and is set up on the rooftop area with lovely views. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished with a nice balcony. The minibar provided good snacks, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large. The location is outside the main township area however this is what we were looking for, to be away from the hustle and bustle of other tourists.
