Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaUnfortunately the building next door (under construction) blocked some of the views of the blue mosque (April 2025)
Spacious room with nice views of Hagia Sophia from the window or balcony. Great location - 5 min walk to Hagia Sophia / blue mosque, 2 min from the tram line, 15 min to the Galata bridge. The room was provided with coffee and water which was convenient and lots of restaurants close by.

GermanyWe faced some issues with our room but the staff was quick to move us to a suite until the issue was fixed. The establishment is a bit old and could use some renovation.
Fantastic location only walking distance from major highlights such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar etc. The stuff is also very friendly and accommodating! The rooms have plenty of space which is rare in these price points.

MalaysiaNo lift to carry luggage to the room. It's difficult for taxi to access the hotel. The word apartment is misleading as it is basically a hotel. There's no kitchenette for any cooking, there's only electrical kettle. It's noisy as the location is in the bustling tourist movement although the windows are soundproof.
It's a great location, short walking distance to the tourist attractions such as Hagia Sophia, Basilica cistern, Topkapi Palace and Blue mosque. Room is clean and spacious.

KazakhstanThe windows of the room overlook a small street of restaurants and cafes and it is quite noisy until late at night. The reception is located on the second floor of the building, you need to go up the stairs. The elevator is inside the hotel, and from there you can go from the second to the upper floors. Another thing is that it is not easy to find. There is just a door in the wall between the tables in a cafe with a different name. The hotel has a sign, but it is inconspicuous, and there are many signs there, but everything is like on the map, you just need to look more closely.
The tram stop and the sights of the Hagia Sophia complex are just a stone's throw away. The central bazaar is a 15-minute walk away. The location is very convenient. The booking reservation worked, I paid upon arrival, in cash. The room is like in the photo. There were problems with the shower, I told the employee, he replaced the part. The "price - quality" ratio suited me. If I get to Fatih again, in the Sultanahmet area, I will look at options for this hotel.

SlovakiaEverything was great maybe small things could be improved like give more toilet paper rolls to bathroom and give more paper or plastic cups for guests. We had only 2 paper cups on the room. Those small things could bring higher comfort for guests.
We’ve booked a standart room so I didn’t excpect a lot but I can honestly say room was very very nice , well equipped and beds are also very comfortable. Cleanliness was great with daily cleaning. Staff very helpful. Rooms was quiet so we had an amazing stay. Location amazing just few steps from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.

United KingdomOnly issues, there weren't enough sockets, and the water temperature would cool down after 12pm. I don't know if this was more of a city issue, or a hotel issue. Otherwise, the water temperature was amazingly hot during the day making showers an enjoyable experience.
Cleaner would come everyday to clean the room and bathroom. Hotel is easily accessible and very close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and easy to approach. Room looks as it does in the pictures, double bed with a sofa bed next to the window and a balcony. I was surprised by this, as a lot of hotels don't live up to the photos. For the price we paid, and compares to what i was expecting, the hotel exceeded my expectations and i would stay here again

United KingdomThe cheap toilet rolls, had to keep on asking for more toilet rolls, the toilet seat was broken, which they replaced with another cheap flimsy one, the curtains were broken off the hooks and all the daylight was entering the room when sleeping which was frustrating, no bins in the room. The AC was making terrible noises, and there were only Turkish channels on the television. We also didn't like the bed, it end up giving us back pain and the pillows were like cushions, they weren't actually pillows. We also had to ask for the bedding to be changed, they wouldn't just do it themselves. There were only 2 sockets in the room, and they weren't at a convenient place at all, I couldn't use our electrical items such as hair straightener and our iron conveniently.
The location was great, the staff were great, they were really accommodating, the hotel was reasonably priced and overall it was an ok stay. The size of the room was nice and spacious.

MaltaRoom and everything is great. Just be aware that it is in a slightly noisier part of town and the windows aren't 100% soundproof. Thus you might hear some late night activity until places close (circa 2-3am)
Great location, right off the main square in fatih. Helpful staff and good area. Just be aware that you're in a touristic hot spot so be wary of prices.

One day seems she left before i went out so the room wasn’t cleaned and I d lack of toilet paper .
The location was perfect, near blue mosque area close to most touristic attractions, plus the value of money ( went in Mach)

Bosnia and HerzegovinaIt was a bit hard to find the hotel when we got there. There was no clear sign where the entrance was. The stairway hall doesn't smell right and fresh, that was the first impression I had.
