How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nice hotel, very close to railway station. Breakfast was amazing. There is really good Spa in hotel, it was nice to relax after a busy day.

All the staff were friendly and accommodating except for the worker who worked the night shift on 02/21/2025 (I don't know his name but he was shorter and a little bit obese). He was unwelcoming and unfriendly, within an hour he raised the price of the hotel room three times, first it was 300 EUR, then 350 and finally 375 EUR for the same room. The staff (Amir) who worked the 22/02/2025 day shift was much nicer and we managed to get a room for one night at an acceptable and normal price. We had to suddenly extend our stay due to canceled flights to Istanbul. This was not my first stay at the Movenpick Hotel, but for the next visit, I will think carefully will I come to the same hotel again due to the unpleasant experience. The only reason we didn't change hotels was because we didn't want to carry our stuff for one night.
The rooms are clean and the breakfast is excellent, but what else can you expect from a five-star hotel

There is glass between room and bathroom which is not preferable at all, Yes, there is a moving curtain, but it is not preferred.

I didnt like people coughing at the breakfast buffet. It was a turn off. There was no serving of coffee. Lots of waiters standing, but no service.
The restuarants around the shopping mall was convenient.

Breakfast was not bad but it could be better considering the cost of accommodation. For instance, the salmon did not have much taste to it and some of the hot food was not even warm. The hotel bar did not have staff at times; yet service was good when provided.
Location was the main reason we stayed at this property. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was spacious and well-equipped. We found the bed to be very comfortable. Housekeeping was satisfactory. We enjoyed our stay and did not have any problems.

A bit pricey, when taking bath water is not going to water pipe and making under you paddle, bathroom blinds is not closing properly

Not many could understand English, had to change the room 3 times, one room change was downgrade but the last time was exactly as it showed on picture during my booking; was spacious with bathtub. No compensation whatsoever on the price due to the issues just room change to what i paid for and i supposed to get at the beginning. Again great people working there super amazing.
Location is exceptionally great, close to many malls and luxury locations compare to the other sections of the ankara, newly made.

It was close to shopping mall, restaurants and easy to travel with taxi to other places. Very Centrally located. The hotel had all what we needed, it is a very nice hotel. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, good food. The personal is brilliant, costumer friendly, nice, service minded and always with a smile. Thank you!

The bath room smelled the sewage. The pipes need some cleaning. I understand you could not know unless someone points it out. Now I did it :)

I travelled with a colleague. The bathroom has a glass wall and people from outside can look when you take a shower. That is great when you travel with your wife, but not with kids or friends. The curtains couldn't be closed by the personnel working at the hotel. They tried, but something was broken there. So I trusted that my colleague turned his back when I took the shower...
Service was very good. Great food. Very clean. Super location!
