We needed more lighting in the rooms, especially by the bed for reading. We discovered the main room was missing a central pendant and think that contributed to the feeling of being dark. The bathroom too needed more lighting and ideally the mirror being positioned a little higher but that’s being picky.

It’s very pretty, nestled in a fairy castle/cave, the pool was lovely and the ample number of lounge chairs and umbrellas was great. Very well located to the restaurants and shops in the town. Rooms were a good size and well equipped

Really cannot think of a thing we'd change.

Beautiful pool, surrounding rocks, and terraced levels made this hotel magical. Our cave room had a window, which was nice, since not all cave rooms in town do. Large bathroom and we were served an amazing breakfast. Our self-booked balloon ride was canceled due to wind, but staff found us a ride the next day with a different company, literally 30% cheaper than the refunded ride! And the hotel is near the main sunset viewpoint, definitely worth visiting at least once..

They should have a drink bar even if it’s soft drinks and beer especially if you’re around the pool all afternoon. They are missing opportunities to expand a little.

Breakfast was from 8.30 and was a Turkish breakfast however there was way too much. I think to reduce waste they could have a buffet style and you could just choose what you’d like to eat. You could order an omelette which was really nice but could have had cheese and chopped tomatoes to make it elevated.

I recommend staying in a room at the pool level or higher so you can have a little more of a view. Staying in a "cave" can feel a little claustrophic if you used to lots of windows and light.

This was our second time staying at this location, the first time being back in 2009. The ownership appears to have changed, as has all of Goreme, but we really liked this hotel. It is up a small hill and pretty central to the main strip and also you can walk up higher to access other restaurants and a viewpoint (I'm glad we didn't stay up higher). The pool was a great feature and we would spend most of the hot hours of the day at the pool and head out later in the afternoon. Most of Cappadocia is lot more low key and casual than Istanbul, so you won't find luxury, but we loved the features in our room, including the nuts, fruit and teas made available to us. The staff were also friendly, though a bit quiet. We even forgot our check out time the day we were leaving and were just relaxing by the pool and ended up staying an extra hour by accident, but even when I offered to pay they were kind and not upset. The very generous Turkish breakfast was another highlight! We felt so bad not being able to finish all the yummy food they would give us every day. I hope to be back here one day.

Really nice hotel with beautiful cave rooms and refreshing pool incl. free pool towels. Lovely and attentive personnel. Large variety of different Turkish foods (from honey, Nutella and jelly, olives, cheeses to melon, bread, cake, cheese rolls and eggs) for breakfast. We also loved the original Turkish table setup. Very comfy bed! Firm but soft on the surface.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The highlight was definitely the beautiful pool — crystal clear water, perfect temperature, and plenty of comfortable loungers around. It was such a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The pool area was always clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere felt peaceful yet welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure guests had everything they needed. Overall, it was a perfect combination of comfort, great amenities, and top-notch service. We had the most incredible stay at The Local Cave Hotel in Cappadocia! ✨ From the moment we booked, communication with the team was effortless – they were so responsive and helpful in answering our questions before arrival. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful facilities and the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in while travelling. We woke up each morning to a delicious, fresh breakfast that was truly a highlight of our trip. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special – their hospitality made us feel so welcome and at home. This hotel is like a dream, it is so stunning. The rooms are beyond gorgeous, the swimming pool, grounds & views are magic. Waking up early & seeing the hot air balloons nearly on top of you was just incredible. Then there was the full Turkish breakfast each morning, which was delicious. On top of all this, very friendly & helpful staff. Highly, highly recommend.

The property itself is so picturesque and the most unique gorgeous hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Our room was spectacular, downstairs but one of the newer rooms and couldn’t fault it. The staff were 10/10 so incredibly helpful and friendly.
