How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very good location, near to restaurants, the blue mosque and the tramway. It had all the basics you need.

A wonderful little hotel in the center of tourist Istanbul! It is very easy to walk to all the main places of the city. It was especially nice to see the PERFECT cleanliness in the room and very fresh towels and bed linen. The room has everything you need! You can also enjoy tea with delicious biscuits on the terrace with a beautiful view. Many thanks to the wonderful owner of this hotel!

The terrain is not very level, me not being used to it had a hard time climbing hills. There are no lifts but the staff was happy to help with luggage.
It’s very homey, with very friendly staff that recommends us great food and travel options. Very close to Hagia Sophia, walking distance.

It is a bit far from the nearest metro stations, but the tram lines are not far away (some 10-15 minutes of walk from the hotel).
Nice and cozy little hotel. The staff was great and we received a great recommendations for restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is near the Blue mosque and other Sultanahmet attractions.

There was some minor trouble with WiFi, but nothing serious, overall it works quite fine
La Petite Maison is a very lovely and cozy little hotel! The room is quite comfortable, has all the necessities, there's WiFi, air conditioner and fridge work well. Hotel staff is very nice and welcoming, and speaks English well - we had to arrive at very short notice, but they handled it in best possible way. Location is wonderful, hotel is placed right in the city center: 3 minutes to the beautiful seafront and about 10 minutes to Hagia Sophia. I'm sure we'll stay here again, if we're be in Istanbul again for a couple of nights

The room is a bit too small for two with backpacks.Toilet seat was broken and the cleaners knew of this over many days coming in but never fixed it. 25 mins walk from Metro/Airport station be aware to walk or need taxi. No bottled water left in the room.
Located well for a walk to the sights. Small hotel with only a few rooms. Offered another bigger room on check in (for more money). Friendly two staff members ready to chat and help. Food delivery using local app was easy. Loads of nearby restaurants. Small corner shop on the same road. Bus stop not far. Bed was just ok and AC worked well. Hot shower. Fridge & Hairdryer in room.

They have very helpful and kind receptionist, he shows how to go to the other places and help stop taxi. Really nice stay here.

Excellent location ! Very close to tram and metro , easy access to all tourist attractions! The room was cleaned everyday and had all the amenities ! The staff is extremely helpful and they are very friendly oriented ,helped us a lot with finding some attractions and suggesting good places to eat ! The airport shuttle was also good and for good money considering the far location of the airport ! Highly recommended to stay with your friends or with your loved ones ! We are very pleased that we stayed there and for sure we will do it again !

It was a nice stay at this hotel. The hotel is really sweet. We’ve got a better room, it was really nice! They have a small terrace on the last floor and a small kitchen. For the price just perfect!

Just be aware that the closest train/subway station is around 25 min walking, but we only needed public transportation to go to airport, so no big deal for us :)
The location is great, near to the most important sites of Istambul. You can get to them by minutes walking. The room is confy and clean, even though a bit small. The staff is super nice, they gave us tips and also let us leave the bags after check out to enjoy more the city. Totally recommended :)

No lifts/elevator
Rooms were cozy, staffs were friendly and available for any need. Excellent view from terrace. Staffs guided us on where to eat and what to see and what to visit.
