Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing. It was perfect.
This hotel, located in the beautiful coastal town of Dalyan, was a wonderful place to stay! It was full of charm and nicely decorated. Our room was large and very comfortable, with air conditioning. The bathroom was good, with great water pressure and hot water. The room had plenty of storage, and contained a large wardrobe. There was also a drying rack, which was great to have when we needed to wash some clothes. We had 2 rooms, which comprised a "family" room, which would accommodate a family very nicely. Our room also had a floor fan in it. The grounds were beautiful and had lots of beautiful plants. The swimming pool was immaculate and large. There was also a large covered bar area, where you could have food (breakfast and lunch) and drink. Breakfast was served daily in this area, where we sat at tables under umbrellas. The food was excellent and there was filtered coffee which was nice to have. The location was great, close enough to the busy area of Dalyan but just far enough away so that it was not noisy at night. We walked to town each evening and enjoyed the "beach town" atmosphere, which was lively. Great food was available at the town restaurants. The Dalyan river is nearby and there are plenty of restaurants located along its banks. You can also see the ancient rock tombs across the river from several of the restaurants. We also visited the nearby beach and were able to swim in the beautiful Mediterranean sea there. Bathrooms, changing rooms were available, as well as a large cafe which served food and drink. Umbrellas and chaises were available to rent. Dalyan is a beautiful summer getaway for lots of British and Dutch people, and English is widely spoken. Emrah, the manager at the Kilim was wonderful - friendly and helpful, and spoke fluent English. The entire staff at the Kilim made our stay extra special. We would love to return to this beautiful coastal Turkish town and stay in the Kilim Hotel!

United KingdomAir-conditioning did not manage to cool both rooms of our interconnected family rooms overnight.
Loved the quiet location yet within easy walking distance of the town centre. Pool was brilliant and the breakfast generous and delicious. We received such a warm welcome from the staff, who went out of their way to look after us including sourcing a fabulous birthday cake for our son.

Laid back, friendly atmosphere. Hotel owners were like friends who made us feel so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and they chatted with us like old friends. There was a host of cats too which helped as I missed my own 🙂 We were welcomed back even after we had moved on. If you don't fancy going out for the evening, you can chill at the bar as there is always someone to chat with. Wish we were able to stay longer. Ideal for a quiet, relaxing break.❤️

United KingdomLimited space around the pool and garden area is small. We were disappointed to not have a balcony which made drying beach towels etc more difficult.

United KingdomMy only disappointment was the family room which consisted of two bedrooms but one of the bedrooms does not have AC and therefore was way too hot to sleep in and my two children had to share a bedroom otherwise they could not have slept in the extreme July heat.
We have been travelling to Turkey for 30+ years although this is the first time in Dalyan. I love the smaller 'pension' type hotels which are genuinely Turkish and this fitted the bill. A small charming hotel in beautiful grounds, lovely bar / breakfast area and rooms are comfortable + staff / owners are lovely and replied promptly to any queries I had. It is located a little away from the main streets of Dalyan but only a 10 min stroll. Perfect.

United KingdomNeeds to provide drinking water on tap rather than in plastic bottles. And needs to stop changing and washing the towels every day. Guests don’t need to have their towels washed after one use. These two initiatives would make the hotel much greener and ecologically sustainable.
Large rooms. Breakfast.

Little gem of a hotel. Beautifully located in lush gardens with lots of friendly cats. Pool with loungers ideal for lazy hot days. Excellent service by Emrah and team. Nothing was too much trouble, including arranging tours for us to local coves by boat. Breakfast is continental and cooked to order.

United KingdomNice wee place, nice pool and rooms. Aircon and WiFi a bit patchy but fine. Would be great if they has a mini fridge. Was quiet when we were there so peaceful around pool. Nice breakfast, but would be good if offered juice and water (quite pricey extras). Good location - cafe across road is reasonably priced and has a good view of the river.

United KingdomKilim is an awesome place to stay. Becky, Emrah, and the entire team go out of their way to make sure everyone feels at home and has everything they need. You can tell heart and soul has gone into this place. It has a lovely laid back atmosphere, great food, great music and brilliant company. It's also very close to central Dalyan and various good bars/restaurants, but still in a really peaceful location near the river. The large number of repeat visitors to Kilim probably tells you all you need to know.
