Our room has a private balcony with an amazing view on Goreme. We could see the air balloons directly from there. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the center, the taxi station and bus station. The staff is super kind!

The staff we’re incredibly helpful and accomodating. They helped us with hot air balloon bookings and transportation to and from the airport. Very close to the main strip of restaurants and an amazing view from our balcony. Highly recommend!

Our room at first floor was a little gloomy, and required spot lighting during night.

Among others, experiencing cave-like environnment was most impressive to me. In spite of no mechnical ventilation system, air circulation incl bath space worked very well. The manager's knowledges of area geography, loval shops, restaurants and tour program hepled us a lot. Enjoying, from the terrace, early morning landscape of soaring air balloons was also fantastic...

It's a family-run business and the whole family was very kind. We had an early check-out as we had to catch a flight and they kindly provided us breakfast at 6 AM which was 2.5 hours earlier than their start time. We also got a great deal for the hot air balloon. It's a great find for budget travellers as the stay is comfortable, breakfast is amazing and the city centre is easily accessible.

I would only say that the room was next to the dining room, so it was a little noisy.

The location and rooms were great, and most importantly, the owners are the best. We were supposed to go on a balloon tour but it was cancelled and they rebooked everything for us. The owner was kind, friendly, homey, and warm hospitality that only a family-run business can provide. The breakfast was nice and cozy. The view from the rooftop terrace was great. I would like to stay longer next time. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Avlu Cave House and were deeply impressed by the charm and tranquility of this 200-year-old cave accommodation. The natural stone walls kept the room cool even in the hot summer weather, making it surprisingly comfortable without the need for air conditioning. The space was cozy and tastefully decorated, maintaining the original cave character while offering modern comfort.

We booked for three days. Now we are thinking 3 days are not enough for us as we have enjoyed the view of so many hot air balloons of Goreme in every morning. We are so lucky that we have booked this hotel. The breakfast also is very good. The owner of this property is very helpful. We are really happy for our decision to stay in this property.

Although the room was ‘cool’, looking like a cave, it meant there was no window or ventilation, a fan or even a window on the door would have been good. Not all rooms were like this. Some did have windows. We found our room was a bit hot and stuffy. The bed mattress was also very old and dipped. Time for the mattresses to be replaced. However, despite this, I would stay here again.

The cave we had with 2 single beds was a bit small for my taste but other rooms were bigger. Since there is no natural light it can feel a bit claustrophobic.

Excellent breakfast with home baked goods, cheese, boiled eggs, olives, jam,and more. The owner went 20 km out of his way to pick up a pack I left on the bus for the balloon flight. He arranged the green tour with the most knowledgeable guide. Naji, who worked the night shift was great and showed us around. Nice outdoor seating areas too.
