Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is a basic hotel, which we took to form the base for our budget holiday in the sun. It could do with some refurbishment, but at the end of the day it was only somewhere to sleep and have a breakfast - and it filled that criteria excellently, what's more, it came with a swimming pool!!!
Good standard Turkish breakfast, prepared by Rosa, who added a variety of home prepared extras (borek, warm tomato mezze, pancakes, home cooked pastries, fresh pomegranate from her garden, crystallised orange). Rosa was a fount of knowledge and very helpful with a fairly good knowledge of English, she was there during the day and Suleiman covered the evening and night . Between us and Google Translate we did very well. The inner courtyard trees and flowers were a beautiful surprise. Location is excellent, 2 minutes to the main drag, and 2 minutes to the river where the ladies row you across to the other side...

United KingdomThe swimming pool was right outside the front of the hotel, constantly in the shade. Other guests would slam their doors in the early hours, but this is no fault of the hotel.
Our room for the 2 weeks was comfortable. It would have been much better if there had been a fridge in the room. The bathroom did not have an actual shower, just the hand held hose, but we were very happy to have a bath, which was a luxury for us! Rosa was our cleaner and house keeper did everything herself, she worked tirelessly and always had a smile for us. She spoke little English but we were able to communicate with her well. She prepared the breakfast every day up on the roof terrace and sometimes would cook something Turkish to accompany the rest of a Turkish breakfast. Once breakfast was over, she would clean the rooms, wash bedding all alone with no help. The owner (Selam) who also owns the hotel next door, was always available, but he had no spoken English, but we found that he would always put his mobile phone onto Google translation. The hotel was right in the middle of town which was perfect for us, so near the shops, restaurants and the river. Good WiFi was available.

United KingdomBreakfast was OK but spoilt by the bee's and wasps being allowed to get to the uncovered food.
Perfect location 2mins walk to the river or centre of town. Room was a bit worn but great value for money overall. Roof terrace had decent views and nice place to chill out. Loved the scent of flowers throughout the courtyard area. Room was clean with a balcony overlooking the pool and street.

PortugalIt’s an old hotel, quite dated that needs maintenance in details. Wi-Fi was not very good, beds are a bit uncomfortable and breakfast was a bit poor.
Cheapest property in Dalyan, with breakfast, swimming pool and perfect location, right in the center next to all the restaurants and shops. The room has air conditioning and balcony.

United KingdomOne room smelled very strongly of smoke when we arrived even though we booked a non smoking room and there were non-smoking signs everywhere. They probably would've changed it if we asked but it was the middle of the night. We managed to ventilate and it smelled fine the next morning.
Excellent location, the area is really vibrant, but not noisy at night. Owners were helpful, though we struggled a bit with the language barrier. They waited up for us even though our flight was delayed and we arrived really late. Air con worked well, though was right over the bed. The pool was lovely to cool down in. The breakfast was simple but plentiful and tasty and the roof terrace has a lovely view of the king tombs. The style is a bit dated, but everything served its purpose and was comfortable enough. We had a great stay and would come again. Tip: it's difficult to get into the streets in night/evening time as they are closed for pedestrians. We were told we could drive in as we were staying there but the streets are flooded with people. Just something to be aware of, you can park around the corner.

United KingdomNothing it met the budget requirements and we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
The location was excellent, the staff will meet all your needs. This is a budget hotel and that is what you get, therefore our expectations were not over estimated. The rooms are small and cleaned when you ask - they meet the budget cost. The pool area is very small but the pool is a good size and we used it most days. The breakfast is turkish and very basic again budget breakfast - it was adequate for our needs There is no safe in the room, you can use the ones in reception we didn't bother and our belongings were completely safe. We would stay here again.
