The price you pay for being so central is a lot of street noise. Whilst this didn’t really bother us, it may do so for others. Sadly I left a hat at the hotel and when I contacted them to try and arrange for it to be posted to another location they advised this was not possible, not sure why this would be difficult to do. 😕

No complaints. The service and accommodation were excellent value for money. It was a very hot time of year but the hotel could do nothing about that, and the air conditioning in the room was very good.

We spent 7 nights here as a couple and found the room very comfortable and excellent value for money. The hotel’s location is excellent – within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops and a supermarket, and also a pleasant walk to the İzmir Bazaar and the Smyrna Agora. The staff were outstanding: Tuğrul Harmancı, Efe İğöz, Şehsuvar Çağlar and Ercüment Özatakan were all extremely friendly and helpful. They even went out of their way to help me retrieve a book and glasses I had left on the Çeşme bus. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting İzmir.

The Hay Hotel Alsancak came highly recommended and it was amazing as expected. Perfect location and we took the upgrade to the junior suit located at the top floor of the hotel. It was quiet, we had a balcony with an amazing view, we had a great room and just a good time. Bathroom and room were clean. The breakfast was amazing, we enjoyed the stay a lot. Staff was super nice and spoke good English. We also booked a tour with them to Ephesos, which was maybe pricy probably and included stops at some shopping destinations, but at the end it was a full day tour with pick-up and drop-off at the hotel and very comfy. My recommendation: if you can afford it, go for the Junior suite and enjoy the view from the balcony.

The hotel is in a vibrant entertainment area, with lots of nearby restaurants and bars. It's a short walk to the waterfront where you have great views across the harbour or you can walk along the promenade. Breakfast was good. The staff are very helpful and kind. They arranged trips for us to Ephesus and to Pamukkale. The room itself was well appointed and comfortable.

The only thing that could maybe bother, is the noise coming from the deliverers from the pizza place next to the hotel, but that has nothing to do with them + they were super kind and gave me a new room.

The personal was absolutely top, they were so kind and respectful, this was my first solo travel as a woman I couldn’t feel safer, the hotel was in tip top shape, the breakfast was delicious which is rare in hotels these days, it’s super close to Kordon alsancak which is just fabulous to see!

The lack of a meeting room or a bigger lobby
