How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The door let in too much noise from outside, and I could still hear the sound of toilet water from the bathroom even after closing the bathroom door

No direct access from our room to reception or street, we had to use stairs one floor down from room to backyard then use stairs up from backyard to reception area.
The Location. The view from restaurant area. The manager and most of staff are very friendly, and provided good information about tours and historical locations around.

Internet connection was terrible barely worked and disconnected all the time. Don’t expect good WiFi. Rooms are extremely small, can’t even move there. Balcony is only staying size.
Location is good but you have to go up to the top every time, not comfortable for older people

It is on very busy road, traffic very noisy, not only cars and motorcycles but also trains, ventilation in the bathroom works permanently
Location is close to Blue mosque and main attractions. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast ok.

We did not have a microwave inside the house and no coffee maker. The facilities inside the room were pretty simple but was clean and comfortable. Thanks!

The hotel is close to the train tracks and the road noise can be heard in some rooms.

More spacious rooms shall be provided depend upon the number of guests. Also breakfast menu shall include more items.

Bed sheets were a bit smelly and full of fuzz balls. Overall the room could have been cleaned better.

Within easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar. Good local restaurants. Helpful staff. Breakfast was good.

This shouldn't put you off, but there is a rail track quite close by, but you barely notice it because Istanbul is a very busy, noisy city to start with. The trains seemed to stop at night so sleep was not disturbed. We would stay at this hotel again, it shouldn't put anyone off booking.
This hotel has a lovely roof terrace that does excellent value for money meals. They even have a Happy Hour. The location is very good, not far from the Blue Mosque and other attractions. Breakfast was buffet style mostly Turkish food which is lovely and fresh. The room was spacious and very clean.

We travelled from Australia and got to hotel around 8am.. could not check in until 2pm, even though we asked for earlier check in from time of booking. They said guests had not checked out to clean room even though we sat for 2 hrs in reception and seeing noone check out but they still would nor let us in earlier. Very very tiring and disappointing. Also had to ask for toilet paper cause only 1 half roll available. No lift available for our luggage, very steep stairs.

I understand it's out of the control of the hotel but the airport transfer they booked for us returning to the airport was over 30+ minutes in picking us up which could have been disastrous had we not added additional buffer time to our desired departure time. I would recommend they find another company to use in the future.
Front desk staff were helpful in describing local attractions and helping us when we had issues with a 3rd party booking. The breakfast was nice every morning, housekeeping was good and we appreciated the new bottles of water every day.

You are at the bottom of the hill...so anything you want to see...I.e. Blue Mosque, Bazaar etc. etc. get ready to hike if ur walking. (Uphill) Spa prices were expensive (IMO) The breakfast wasn't my thing. Too many cold cuts and processed cheese.
I loved that I could wake up every morning and walk along the sea for sunrise or head the opposite direction to everything else. The staff were great and super helpful for anything needed.
