Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaEverything, but mainly the staff. By far one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in and that’s all down to the friendly and extremely helpful staff that were willing to go above and beyond. Probably some of the nicest people I’ve met to date

BrazilThe staff in the hostel is exceptionally nice, they help you with everything and if you want to book a tour with them the pricing is pretty reasonable. I liked the breakfast. You can have tea all day as well. It's a really social hostel where you get to meet a lot of new people.

An exceptional experience from start to finish. I arrived at 3 AM and was warmly welcomed — the staff was ready and kindly guided me even at that late hour, which felt unreal in the best way. The hostel was clean, quiet, and perfectly located. I loved the excellent breakfast, 24-hour coffee service, and wide selection of teas. Truly impressive hospitality. Highly recommended!

New ZealandThere really wasn’t anything bad! Curtains for beds would be helpful as guests get up early to watch or ride the balloons.
The host, Avni and his team were so friendly and helpful. They recommended and booked activities for guests. Everyone felt welcome and as solo travellers, we all formed a great bond with each other going for hikes together etc. there was tea and coffee always available which was a great touch. The location was perfect, in the centre of Goreme.

ChinaIf you check in here, you have not simply chosen the highest-rated accommodation in town. While this rating is fair and well deserved, it must be placed in its proper context: we have travelled Europe, the US, South America, China, and Japan - extensively, and yet we have not come across anything that could match this hotel. To begin with, the place leaves, of course, nothing to be desired in terms of cleanliness, amenities, or internet. Moreover, it’s perfectly located within convenient walking distance of the central bus station. This is especially great for those of you who do not arrive with their own car or wish to avoid haggling over local prices for a taxi. Instead, you can reach the hotel in a two-minute walk with your luggage. Despite being located so centrally, the hotel is still a quiet place. No noisy restaurants, bars, clubs etc. around. Rather, you will find a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. Above all, however, you will be welcomed by a most kind and supportive team of receptionists under the leadership of Avni and Seyhan. And you will need them because there are just too many options of what you can do at this location and, on the other hand, there are too many problems you can run into if you cannot reduce the complexity of your options through the possibility of trusting your host. The suggestions we received from them were always well considered and without the slightest hint of a sales attitude. This is really comfortable, as one may not appreciate having the Grand Bazaar extending to one’s hotel. In a nutshell, Avni and Seyhan are a true dream team of their profession if there ever was one. They were most helpful, for instance, in mapping out an exciting hike through the countless valleys and walking paths in the area—even taking their time to patiently pin down the route in Maps.me and explaining how to orientate yourself in the field.

BrazilThe internet is not so estable, but it's usefull anyway.
Great cost benefit, as it's in a cave, the room temperature is cool and comfortable. It's not luxurious, but it doesn't need to be; I felt very comfortable. The breakfast is good, there's always tea available and the staff is great, offering tips and suggestions about the area; there's always someone to welcome you.

The property was amazing! The room had a cave like interior to it. It had all the basic essentials for a hostel + you get free breakfast as well which were delicious! Best thing that sets this place apart was definitely the staffs who made my stay memorable! They greeted everyone by name and even helped in providing some walkable spots to travel and explore to!

SloveniaFrom the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The breakfast was not only delicious but also quite generous – including omelettes, fruit, sausages, vegetables, tea, coffee, and more. It’s perfect for packing a little to-go lunch for the day. Tea, coffee, and drinkable water are always available, which is such a thoughtful touch. The reception is open 24/7, and I mean it – there is always someone there for you, ready to help with anything. The rooms are spotless, and although the toilet and shower are in the same room (which might surprise some), everything is so clean and well-managed that it’s not an issue at all. The location is also very convenient. It’s well-connected to other major cities like Ankara and Istanbul, with easy access to shuttles to both airports. Public transportation to other parts of Cappadocia is clearly marked and easy to navigate, even as a foreigner. But what truly sets this hostel apart is the people. The staff are the kindest people you will ever meet. They remember everyone by name, they know where you're going, and they genuinely care – helping you plan hikes, tours, and transportation, and always welcoming you back warmly. Check-out is at 11, but you can leave your belongings at the hostel, and I even took a peaceful afternoon nap on the terrace while waiting for my midnight bus. I truly and wholeheartedly recommend this place

IndonesiaNothing, all more than perfect
This is the best hotel in Cappadocia — it truly feels like coming home and being welcomed by family. Avni, Seyhan, and Osman, the owners and staff, make you feel like part of their family with their warm hospitality. They always greet you with smiles and kindness, are ready to answer any questions, and offer great recommendations. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast is amazing, and most importantly, it’s perfectly located right in the heart of Göreme. Everything is close by — the bus stop is just a 3-minute walk, along with restaurants and minimarkets. I stayed in the women’s dorm room, and it was incredible. I didn’t expect a dorm to feel so comfortable and clean. Everything I needed was provided — towels, hairdryer, and more. I have no complaints at all. If there were a rating higher than 10, I’d give it without hesitation. If I ever return to Cappadocia, this is definitely where I’ll stay.

Hardware wise, the place is clean and the location is super convenient, 4 mins walk from the bus station. The small garden is pretty. If you wanna watch the hot air ballon, you can walk from the hostel as well. Software wise, all staffs in the hostel are very hospitable, enthusiastic, helpful and considerate. Seyhan shared his amazing hiking trails with us and served the breakfast , Avni is always responsive when I need help, Osman is humorous and cut the watermelon which I bought from the supermarket. Here I found actual human connection - which I expect all the time when I choose to stay in a hostel. I will highly recommend this hostel if you come to Cappadocia.
