Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere is no a/c or fan. The weather we had was cool ranging from maybe 7C to 20C. We had to keep our door open for a while at night before going to bed to get it cool enough. We kept window open all night and that did help. Just be aware if you are there during hot weather. One of our rooms was lower and didn’t really get the breeze so it didn’t cool off very well.
Beautiful property, full of character. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Staff were all excellent and helpful. Many spots to sit outside with wonderful views. Breakfast at restaurant was delicious! It was peaceful and quiet.

AustriaUnfortunately there were a few things we disliked so that we cannot give full points. The rooms were not well cleaned (floor not mopped, toothpaste stains, handle of shower was unscrewed). In one room the drain smelled badly; even though telling the staff it was not fixed). The staff is very nice but it seemed that they tried to avoid extra work such as breakfast was not possible to have in the outside area. For this price value ratio though and for the nice rooms and view I would book it again.
The hotel has a great view and the rooms are beautiful. The hotel has a lot of potential and the price value ratio is good.

United KingdomBreakfast could have been more varied rather than the same thing every day Limited car parking space near hotel Room had central heating which we were told was not in operation but was set to 28°C. Upon playing around with the (broken) thermostat, we were able to reduce the temperature and room was cooler once we had requested a fan to the room. AC would have been nice

AustraliaThe breakfast was served later than the opening time which is inconvenient if you want to be out and about before the heat. As a coffee drinker I would have also preferred the option. And some of that delicious fruit!
Wonderful hotel. It's close to a lovely little township which has some great restaurants and bars. The breakfast is massive!!

United KingdomThe room was BOILING hot. I mean, uncomfortablly hot. With no air con. We only booked it as we were assured that the rooms are cool, but the room was consistently 29-30° with door and window open and fans on constantly. It was very uncomfortable, and we had to pull the mattresses from the bedroom to the living area just to be able to sleep, as the bedroom seemed to have some kind of heated floor. I would seriously not recommend this hotel to anyone who comes from cooler climates at we almost left due to this. The area is very quiet with little to do after 8pm. Alcohol costs a LOT in this area - beware before ordering!!
Amazing breakfast. The chef accommodated us with an off menu item when we told him we don't eat meat, which was greatly appreciated. Stunning place. It makes the cons worth it as Cappadocia is so beautiful Room was visually very beautiful

RussiaDirty room, especially hot tub, like nobody cleaned it after previous guests. Towels had grey spots. We lived in a cave room, the peculiarity of which is the lack of ventilation in the bathroom and air conditioning. Because of this, the room was damp and stuffy. To solve the problem, we were offered a fan, but it did not have a top protective cover and we were afraid of getting hurt when using it. Breakfast was disappointing - the food is very heavy, a lot of deep-fried food, three types of fat dough with cheese, one small overcooked omelette for two and a lot of sauces, more than half of which you won’t eat. As a result, it seems that you have a table full of food, but you leave the table hungry and unsatisfied.
Location is good - calm place with a beautiful view to the castle. The hotel itself was made using natural materials of a good quality. Personnel were nice and helpful

AustraliaIt was very hot in Cappadocia whilst we were there and we definitely needed a fan in our room.
The tram at Capp Royal Cave Hotel are very kind and friendly; greeting us like family. The breakfast was a stunning array of delicious foods- breads, fries, eggs, jams, olives and cheeses. The pool was lovely and cool and the sun umbrellas were a welcome addition from last year.

PolandThe hotel lacks a good restaurant with variety of food. You can order only minor snacks, incl. French fries, burgers, etc. The premisses and the kitchen are surely suitable to establish a regular quality restaurant.
The location couldn't be better - great view on the castle, much quieter than in Goreme. Breakfasts were abundant and served by a very friendly and hospitable "chef". The room was spacious and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was simply awesome! Gigantic and very comfy - one room with shower, another one with jacuzzi. The female host was very nice and welcoming; she fixed the Internet for us. I wish we could use the swimming pool but unfortunately it was cold and rainy.

RussiaHotel stuff was not friendly, attentive and sometimes polite. Reception was not interested in helping us with entertainment program. Lady in the restaurant was really rude and inhospitable. No one speaks English accept one person in the hotel. Room temperature was about 30+ when we arrived and we couldn’t make it lower. Stuff didn’t even tried to show us how to use a temperature regulator, and it was pretty hard to sleep in that kind of conditions.

NetherlandsWhat I didn't like about the location was definitely the air conditioning. It is present but you can't turn it on or off yourself, you have to report this to the reception. The latter, admittedly, is simple. You pick up the phone and press the number 0 which connects you directly with the reception. They immediately see which room number is calling them. So you only need to indicate that you want to turn on your air conditioning or want to turn it off. But because you have to arrange this through the reception, it's important to take this into account. The disadvantage is, as I mentioned earlier, not all staff members speak sufficient English, and of course you can't use Google Translate via the house phone in your room, so sometimes it's making do. In itself it's not a dealbreaker but something to keep in mind. But now comes the point that was a dealbreaker for me. My air conditioning in my luxury room with private pool was broken, it constantly leaked water causing me to often come home to a large puddle of water in my room. This was supposed to be repaired and at one point they also indicated that it was repaired, but that was not the case, throughout my entire stay this air conditioner continued to leak. In addition, my private pool was adjacent to my room but next to the pool was the motor to heat the water and it created an extremely warm environment, not just the water itself. Reason? They had forgotten to turn off the motor during cleaning. Because of this, I couldn't use my private pool for a day. And yes, if you pay so much extra for a private pool you can expect that this is "perfectly" arranged. Additionally, the purification system makes really a lot of noise. "Relaxed" swimming without ambient noise in your private pool was not an option during my stay. That is really a serious drawback.
The rooms look fantastic, that's all I can say. There is also attention to countless details, such as the murals in specific places in the rooms. The staff is friendly, but my experience is that few staff members speak sufficient English. In itself that is of course not a requirement, after all I am in Turkey, but be aware of this: Google Translate is often your "best friend" at this location, but then you need a live internet connection which, fortunately, is available almost (*) everywhere in the area and is included in the price of your room. What I also liked is the relaxed attitude of the staff. My girlfriend and I arrived quite late at this hotel, after 10:00 pm, and we could still order some hot food while the restaurant was formally closed.
