The property was in a fantastic location and made visiting the famous sights such as Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar ver easy. The staff were so helpful and we received great service and I have no hesitation staying there again.

The Sultanahmet area is super dirty and touristy, and we would not stay there again if returning to Istanbul. That's not the hotel's issue, of course, but the size of the rooms, lack of amenities and space would have made a longer stay at the hotel truly uncomfortable.

The location was very convenient for our 1 night stay (20 hour layover) in Istanbul in the sense that we were able to see several of the historical tourist attractions with ease the next morning before heading to the airport to continue our trip. The hotel itself though leaves a bit to be desired in terms of room size, amenities, cleanliness and maintenance. The staff were all super nice and hospitable and breakfast was excellent.

Staff seemed lacking in experience regarding helping to find places of interest, best ways buy tickets. Seemed irritated when we repeatly had to double check. Hard to understand their english. Porter failed to tell us hiw to use AC, fridge temp too warm, not enough power points for hair products. Bluetooth port not working and no phone working. Told staff same day but nothing was done. Map supplied ok but hard to read, very tiny print. Our shower was cold, did not heat hardly, which is fine if want wash and cool down but hard to wash long hair.

The AC was a little loud for me, and getting WIFI was a little tricky, but the staff managed it quickly.

Beautiful, immaculately clean little hotel, really close to the historical places. Fantastic breakfast. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful, they treat you like royalty! Bvlgari toiletries, "pillow bar", fresh water every day. Can't wait to come back!

This hotel is a gem! It has PERFECT location and the rooms are really lovely and clean and the team... OMG! The team is just amazing! They are super friendly and super helpful and truly want to make sure your stay as perfect as possible! I have been to Istanbul few times before in different hotels and none has been half as good as this one! Mainly because of the location and the staff who do everything in their power to make your stay as perfect as possible! I am planning to go back early next year and I will 100% sure will book with Saint Sophia only!

The location is excellent, close to Saint Sophia Mosque, with views over Hagia Sophia courtyard, and just a few steps Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and the Hurrem Sultan Hamami (where I had a very pleasant experience), Basilica Cistern, and also not far to the Grand Bazar. The room was amazing, large, very nice with very nice design, opening the window and seeing the the sunrise and sunset was a fantastic experience. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, both sweet and savory. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were all extremely attentive and friendly. A very special mention to Enes and Omer for their outstanding service!

I wish I took everyone's name to individualy thank them for their amazing hospitality and warmth, but Enes and Omer were among the name i do remember, so they get a special thanks! Location couldn't have been any better, seconds walk from hagia sophia and basilica cistern, and a 3 minute walk to the tram station. Truly in the heart of Sultan Ahmed Amazing value for money, and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Istanbul

Most helpful staff, especially Mert, who guided us from our pick-up location to the hotel on arrival. Mert was also helpfull with assistong us with our departure pick-up location and with our luggage. Room was large. Breakfast was delicious and staff accommodated our dietary requirements. Location was perfect with close and easy access to major sites.

Too close to the tram line, but this can be solved by a room facing the other way.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, you can view the backside of Hagia Sophia from the hotel and you are 3 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Archeological Museum and other museums. The tram stop is 2 minutes away with the main line across everywhere in Istanbul. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired with a Turkish selection of cheese, olives and sorts. There is also a complementary tea/coffee time with cake in the afternoon. The rooms are very comfortable, but I would suggest a room facing the back if you are sensitive to noise as the tram passes right in front of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, especially for the first time as you have most sights at your doorstep and you are spoilt with a lovely breakfast, staff and accommodation.

The very steep old broken stone road just outside the entrance of the hotel but I can understand that it is very old as it is very old city. Maybe heritage protected?

The lovely, warm and pleasant staff were so welcoming and catered ti every need and want. Also the location of the hotel is the best. Will definitely be going back there if I visit Istanbul again.
