The only downside was an 8am start for breakfast time made getting to some pre-booked trips a little tight. However the staff did what they could to ensure it was quick.

Really good location in the old town, nice modern rooms and lovely extras - snacks, great breakfast etc. A cut above others at a similar price point.

Chic room. Lovely carpet. Really recommend the suite with private balcony so private. The breakfast was amazing and we had refills of whatever we wanted. The Turkish coffee was also great. Not burnt tasting. Smooth and dark.

This is the most beautiful little spot in Istanbul! We absolutely loved our stay here, our room was the perfect size for the 2 of us plus we got a little terrace area! It is was a short walk to all tourist attractions but was nice and quiet in this little pocket for night time/sleeping. Great staff who couldn’t do enough for us - would recommend to anyone coming to Istanbul to stay here!

There were roadworks during my stay but that had nothing to do with the hotel

a really lovely experience. The location was excellent – very convenient and close to local businesses, which made it easy to get around and explore the area. The atmosphere was welcoming, and everything about my stay felt comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, it was a very nice stay and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Because of the age of buliding, the layout is a bit complicated with lots of stairwwaays and doors.

The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is on the smaller size, but the rooms are super new and amazing. The breakfast is probably the highlight, in addition to the location. It is very quiet and clean. Perfect spot to explore Istanbul!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Blu Macel in Istanbul. It's a cute little boutique hotel tucked away on a side street near the SultanAhmet and Hagia Sophia mosques. It's about a 10 minute walk from the SultanAhmet tram station. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious, and air-conditioned. Shower pressure was great (very important after a day spent sightseeing!). We looked forward to the generous and delicious breakfast every morning and the treats they served in the afternoon. The staff were all very hospitable and kind. From Azer (the manager) to Jamal (the lovely young man who took care of us at breakfast), Gul and Rangel (who kept our rooms pristine and brought us the delectable afternoon treats), and Tunjay (the night manager who carried our heavy bags to our rooms since there is no elevator), everyone went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Azer was even kind enough to order an extra vehicle to lug away our bags to the airport (we went a little exuberant with all the shopping) at no extra charge after we checked out. We look forward to staying with them again when we're back in Istanbul.

Even though the windows are large and let in plenty of light, they are heavy and a bit hard to open. Apart from than, everything else is great.

The place was really nice and the location is central. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very cool. The staff was always ready to help and managed to fulfill all our requests efficiently. The breakfast is typical and abundant. We loved it!

The hotel is very cozy, in a slightly quiet and peaceful area yet convenient. The breakfast was splendid and they also served tea. The staff were very friendly, Azer was ever so helpful and had lots of tips and recommendations. We had a wonderful stay.
