The doors of the adjacent chamber opening and closing early in the morning made quite a noise.

Amazing location, quiet surroundings, excelent breakfast. Wonderful to have a pool around. Room with a view to the sea. Listening to the relaxing sound of the waves.

The hotel was beautiful in a gorgeous location. The restaurant was very good as well - both dinner and breakfast were excellent. But most of all being on the water in a small town was a treat. Visiting the antiquities nearby was why we came and we were thrilled by it all.

The road down the hill to the coast is very narrow, steep and winding, and a bit unnerving but it gets you there!

Amazing location, right on a small and narrow strip of coast, lined with small restaurants, two narrow streets and a handful of hotels and guest houses. We were quite surprised! We had a good view from the bedroom, and the breakfast was enormous - everything you could imagine eating for breakfast and then some. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, good for a break from cities and busy tourist sites. The ruins of Assos are at the top of the hill behind the coast.

We loved the property; it had beautiful decor, friendly staff, and excellent location. Out room was spacious and comfortable. The crew was exceptionally attentive and courteous, always ready to assist with a smile, making us feel truly welcomed.

“Assos Kervansaray Hotel” is situated on the beach of Behram in the region of Ancient Harbor. The area is very picturesque and nowadays hosts some old buildings, which are hotels and restaurants. On the hills behind them are the ruins of Ancient city of Assos, where Aristotle established his First Philosophical School. The Hotel is absolutely good choice for sojourn because it proposes to the tourists all modern facilities in the rooms as well as swimming pool and private beach. The restaurant of the hotel is one of the most qualified in the region with rich menu and direct view to Lesbos Island. Don't worry about the parking place - the staff of the Hotel is very kind and will park your car absolutely safe.

Great hotel full of character, in a small harbour location with pool and beach club. Really close to all the historic sites but get there early as really hot by 11.00.

The cafe area was noisy although the double glazing helped and the noise settled in the evening. There was no cereal or yoghurt for breakfast. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.

The property had a luxury feel with a grand foyer in a beautiful Spanish style. We had a sea view across the rooftop of a cafe. The reception staff were helpful and patiently arranged an online bus booking for us late at night.

The location and valet team were the only redeeming parts of this stay. Everything else was a letdown from the moment we arrived. Customer service was terrible. They insisted on collecting passport numbers from everyone in our group—including the kids—just to activate Wi-Fi, which never worked. At 11:30 PM, when we were hoping to wind down, I had to go back to the front desk, only to find they had entered everything incorrectly. In the middle of July, our room’s air conditioning didn’t work. When we informed the staff, the response was essentially “too bad, someone can fix it in the morning”—even though we were checking out the next day. No offer of a fan, no apology. The room was unbearably hot and humid. We couldn’t sleep until around 4 AM, and when I asked for a late checkout, they flat-out refused. To make things worse, the beds were rock hard and the power went out in the middle of the night. Breakfast was forgettable at best. When checking out, I asked for my car and was told valet would be notified. Twenty minutes later, I went outside and found out they had never called for it. If you don’t speak Turkish, good luck. I’m Turkish-American, so I could navigate the situation, but if I weren’t, I’d have been completely stuck. Truly a frustrating and uncomfortable stay. I will not be returning—and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere.o

I stayed for two nights, Monday to Wednesday. The first night was blissfully quiet, but the second night was totally ruined by very loud pop music being played both outside in the restaurant (which was deserted) and also inside the hotel foyer (which is huge and completely open to both floors of the building). By 11pm I called Reception to ask how long this would be going on for and was told "until midnight". If you want a quiet and undisturbed stay, avoid this hotel! The WiFi is unacceptably weak, often non-existent.

It's a beautifully decorated hotel; the room I had was very spacious, with two bathrooms (though the big shower head didn't work as it should in either of them, but excellent water pressure), and a beautiful view over the restaurant out to the little harbour and the sea. Parking is not a problem as the staff park the car for you. When it's quiet, you can hear the sea. Lovely.

The staff though friendly doesn’t speak a word non-turkish. The hygiene is very rudimentary specially with a serious problem of flies over breakfast buffet and tables.
