How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I stayed 5 days at Angel’s Home and it was an excellent experience. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful, always ready to assist. The cleaning service was impeccable, keeping the room spotless and very comfortable. The rooftop is amazing! Many thanks to the whole team for their care and hospitality – I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul!!

Nothing, it was perfect for us, although do bear in mind that the property doesn’t have a lift (wasn’t a problem for us and it was a welcome exercise after all the delicious dinners we had).
Great location - minutes from all the main attractions and yet slightly tucked away from all the hassle and bustle. Staff were simply outstanding - always smiling and eager to help, we couldn’t be happier.

We loved Angel’s Home! My parents and my cousin highly recommended this place and it was a wonderful stay. The breakfast was wonderful, the location can’t be beat, and hotel staff are so helpful. Five stars!!

Great, quiet location central to all main tourist attractions and the tram line. Very clean room and shower room and great views of the Bosphorus and Blue mosque at breakfast!

Everything was fantastic about Angel’s Home. As a small and privately run hotel, only a 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and on a popular street with numerous restaurants and shops, the price/quality relationship couldn’t be better. The extras, such as a minibar with gratis drinks and snacks daily restocked (for free) and a generous breakfast on the top floor terrace, make Angel’s Home a rock solid 5 star rating.

As a family of 4, we had a wonderful stay in Angel’s Home hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Sultanahmet and the boss is always willing to give very good tips and even full day programs ! I recommend !

Location is perfect (walk distance to all the places) and very friendly staff who provides all thoughtful kinds of support even you don’t ask. The terrace where you have breakfast or simply enjoy a drink at sunset is definitely a delight. Highly recommended!

All good.
Great location - easy walk to most spots and close to the tramline. Staff very helpful and supported us in how to get to places. I reccomend asking for guidance if you are stuck for things to do.

Great location! Located in a peaceful street with many restaurants around. We had the triple room, it had all the facilities we needed. The staff was very helpful and they can also help you make a plan for the day. I would come back to this place!
