Our stay at this house was truly unforgettable. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located, but what made the experience exceptional was the host. She wasn't just an owner she was the best guide we could have asked for and one of those rare people you feel lucky to meet in life. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to help us discover the real Istanbul not just the tourist spots, but hidden gems, local restaurants, and cultural insights you’d never find on your own. Her kindness, knowledge, and generosity turned our trip into something truly special. The twin room was a bit small for 2 people, also the shower. The room was relatively simple, but clean. Only the location, just above the street turned out to be quite noisy during the night.

This is a small hotel, run by family members. The hosts were very friendly and gave very useful advise about using public transport including the ferries in Istanbul. There are no breakfast facilities, but we were directed to a municipal restaurant in the neighbourhood, which has very decent prices for this part of Istanbul and serves breakfast till 12.00, diners as well. The hotel has a modest price for this part of Istanbul and is very close to the historical centre.

The bathroom was quite small, but is wasn't a problem.

The hosts are realy great! They welcomed us very warm, treated us with tea, a bottle of wine, nuts, and bureks. Smiling, very helpful and very nice people! Felt like home! Apart of them, the location is perfect, the room was comfortable, the loby was excelent for evening glass of wine and talks with our friends.

Ahmet Efendi Evi - is a wonderful little hotel right in the city center. I chose the hotel for my son and me during a long layover in Istanbul so that we could walk around the city for half a day, spend the night and go back to the airport. The Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are literally 400 m away. The owner of the hotel, Gonul, personally met us, took care of us and answered all our questions. She was very friendly and attentive. The room was not big, but had everything we needed. The next morning, Gonul called us a taxi and saw us off, giving us a New Year's souvenir as a parting gift, which was very nice! Thank you Gonul for hospitality! I recommend Ahmet Efendi Evi!

I was bit by mosquitoes in the night so it was a lil uncomfortable. Also the towel I used had dry hair that were not mine, place could be cleaned better, especially the rooms.

The location is excellent, the place is very sweet and cosy, you feel like you're home while on a vacation. Youness is so hospitable and sweet, he made us feel very welcome. Loved our chats with him.

Perfect location for exploring Sultanahmet, and a really friendly and helpful team, who were happy to give us advice and helped make our stay in Istanbul fantastic! The bathroom was very small, especially for a family of 5, however we were aware of this before and prepared for it after reading previous reviews so it is not a complaint, just an observation to make people aware. Other than that no complaints at all, we had a wonderful stay!

The location was amazing, right in the heart of Sultanahmet and a short walk to the main historical sights and plenty of loacl restuarants near by. It feels more like a cosy homestay rather than a hotel (it has about 8 rooms I believe) and the lovely owners make you feel very welcomed and right at home. They were also really helpful in answering all our questions and gave us plenty of reccommendations for eating out and local sights. My son is dairy intolerant as well (which we said when trhey asked if we had any dietary requirements upon check in) and the next morning they provided oat milk for him which was a really nice and unexpected! The family room was more than adequate in size for our family of 5 (3 adults and 2 children). Breakfast was good and plentiful and as long as you are not expecting a large hotel style buffet (which you shouldnt as its a small boutique hotel) its great and and nice fresh coffee too!

Incredible location, in a very quiet street, less than 10 minutes walking distance from Ayasofia and the Blue Mosque. Warm welcome from Gonul, who was always available to help us refining our trip and providjng us great advices. If you are after a family feeling hotel, slightly away from main touristic hotspots, this is the place. We hope to go again anytime soon, and want to thank you again Gonul for the experience we just had.

Everything about the stay was utterly wonderful. Location is the key, it's walking distance to most of the historical attractions of Istanbul, yet it's in a quiet and pretty street. Rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good (amazing coffee). The host is very accommodating and welcoming.
