Reviews of Sugdiyon Hotel

The first room they gave me had a lock that didn't close all the way. Unfortunately during the night, a man entered my room by mistake. When I told the staff, they didn't believe me, until they checked the surveillance footage. I was traumatized. They barely apologized and gave me another room. The overall state of the hotel is bad, the flushing button was broken, etc. But that's nothing compared to the very unpleasant attitude of the staff and the fact that nobody cares about the deep issues of the hotel.

Excellent location, right by the river with beautiful views and very close to the city center. The hotel has history and a unique “Soviet-style” atmosphere that makes it special.

However, the cleanliness could be improved, as the rooms are very far from what spotless would be. If you move a piece of furniture, below it you will find all the dust and hair from previous tenants.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Very close to the fortress and park. I had a balcony facing the river, which was very nice.

Internet was poor. Didn't work in my room. I had to go to the hotel lobby to get Internet.

I have traveled to over 100 countries and stayed in countless hotels, but this was the first time I have experienced something like this. The hotel price was not the price when I confirmed the reservation, they told me that the price had gone up starting today and asked me to pay more. I didn't pay more, but it was nonsense to argue about something like this.

Old hotel.wc is problem

The outside of the hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect. Staff is friendly and helpful. They speak some English. WiFi is strong enough.

The room was a bit dated and decidedly less upscale than the exterior, lobby, and price point. Breakfast area was too small for the hotel. There was a mob of people trying to eat. Every seat was full. Most of the serving plates were empty. Unsure if this is the norm or if I hit a very busy day/time.

Reality differed from the pictures. Service was not good.

Very nice hotel, maybe the best in Khujand. Clean room, view to the river. Great breakfast with many dishes (especially cakes and sweets are great, cheese dishes etc.), very delicious black coffee.

The only negative is that the sauna and wellness were closed on Sunday, on Monday for women only, and on Tuesday for men only. This should be written on the webpage so know it when planning the stay.
