How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Maybe the bathroom door was a bit loud when opening/closing, and a bit more closet space would have been ideal. Regardless, this is a really great hotel. We will be back :)
Alex, Jason and Jasel were wonderful staff members who helped us with all our questions. We enjoyed the proximity to the IconSiam and ICS buildings. The rooms were fantastic with comfy beds. The washing machine worked well. The daily cleaning service with fresh towels and bottled water was exceptional. The free coffee and tea in the lobby was a nice touch. The staff held onto our luggage after check-out which was much appreciated.

This was another surprise package for me. Discreet from the outside, almost underselling itself online, everything about this place was fantastic. The rooms are tasteful and gorgeous, and spotlessly clean. The building is charming inside. There is coffee and tea available at all times, a kitchen area, washing machine, and a lovely area for sitting near reception. But the staff really made it for me. Absolutely delightful people who were discreet but incredibly helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this chic boutique hotel.

It’s maybe a bit far from the airport, but once you’re there it’s a great place to stay.
Great location! Just around the corner at the Siam Mall (best mall of Bangkok). Friendly staff and spacious rooms! The hotel itself is quit and we didn’t have any noise from neighbors.

The room comes with desk but it’s not really suitable for working. However, you can always work in the lobby or cafe nearby.
Large room size. Comfortable bed. Excellent staff. Good WiFi. Homey feel. Access to kitchen and laundry. Peace and quiet location. 10 minutes walk to Icon Siam and ICS (BTS Charoen nakorn). 5 minutes walk to Pepsi Pier where you can take a ferry to Sathorn Pier.

Loved everything
Perfect hotel for a city stay. Quiet hotel, big clean rooms, huge, amazing and comfortable bed, close to icon siam and the river for views and transportation, and within walking distance to the skyrail. Wonderful staff who helped with every question or request. Highly recommended!!!

Homey and clean hotel in 7 min walking distance from IconSiam, close from main road, at the same time inside the quiet narrow street, in a few steps can get to a convenient store A comfortable restful bed, clean room, a huge window , welcoming kitchen corner with unlimited good coffee Outside easily can get a variety of local food at the opposite street which you can reach crossing the main road using the pedestrian bridge

Everything was amazing! The location is really convenient if you want to go shopping at IconSiam or take a river cruise! The family room is quite big and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

I liked everything
I liked everything about my stay at Varmtel Hotel in Bangkok. As a solo traveler, i felt really safe. I even felt like home. The Staff was so kind and had much understanding as I had planned a complicated itinerary in Thailand. I was staying at the Varmtel Hotel for a total of eight nights, but in between, I was traveling for five nights outside of Bangkok. However, I left my belongings at the hotel before returning to Varmtel for the remainder of my stay. The Hotel is really clean and close to everything you need. The Hotel has a shared kitchen where you can cook and consume Tee and Coffee every time you want. They also have a laundry corner. I really recommend Varmtel.

There is no breakfast. For us no problem but maybe keep this in mind when booking :)
Lovely accomodation! The rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We arrived at 10 in the morning, so check-in was not possible yet. The staff gave us a room upgrade for free so that we could take a nap and so we didn’t have to wait. Amazing service! The location is perfect, close to several forms of transportation. We were also able to leave some stuff that we bought in Bangkok there for the upcoming weeks because we will stay at varmtel again when we leave Thailand. Perfect that this was possible!

None. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. So far so good.
It felt like home to me. The staffs were super nice in welcoming me on my day. Showed me around the rooms + cleaning was excellent. Even fixed the broken part in the bathroom when it’s just a tiny error in my opinion. Will definitely be coming back for sure.
