Nicolas and Od have an absolutely awesome hotel. Od is so fabulously lovely and helpful. The pool and setting are gorgeous. You can easily get to the beach - Od gets you a cheap taxi. I liked the tranquility of not being on the beach itself. I extended my stay to 8 days. There are local restaurants within a minutes walk if you don’t fancy heading to the beach. Also very close walk from hotel is caving tour and an elephant sanctuary. Personally I had a scooter at 5 quid a day. It’s worth it so you can explore the whole island. Thai drivers are very careful of scooters - the only time I had to take care (I’m 60 years old) it was a European who couldn’t ride well. The room I had was perfect, with my own balcony. Finally, the hotel is exceptionally well maintained and decorated (which isn’t easy in the tropics - many hotels are not). The gardens are constantly manicured, hedges trimmed, grass cut etc., which is a perfect reflection of the owners’ attention to detail.

Not much to complain about - there were a lot of bugs but what else can you expect here.

Super friendly staff, literally couldn’t have done more for us. Good air con, nice pool, nice food and drinks. And a resident cat! A good, quiet, location too - they even organised motorbikes for us :)

This place is so peaceful I absolutely loved it, and the owner is such a lovely host you can tell how much she cares. She arranges motorbike/scooter rental which you will need as it is not in walking distance of the town but that’s why it’s so calm and serene.

In a word, Aoi. She is the owner of the property and puts her heart and soul into ensuring that every guest stay is perfect. Nothing is too much and she goes above and beyond what you would usually expect. The accommodation is very reasonably priced and centrally located on the island, which means that you can access most places easily (handy to rent a scooter or TukTuk). The rooms are spotlessly clean. Yes there are mod cons that would make this place even better, however it doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. Thank you Aoi for looking after us!

Wonderful place with a lovely pool that we used every day. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable. You will need a scooter if you stay here. It is off the main strip. Luckily, they do rent them on site.

Great property, clean and the owners are lovely too. The pool was great and didn’t seem to get too busy. They offer food and drinks and there is a fab restaurant next door. Laundry service was great and the owners offered moped hire, trips and taxi services. It was a 25 minute walk to the main beach/centre but that is exactly what we were looking for.

The staff are incredibly nice, the location is perfect, the swimming pool is great and the apartments are also amazing! We were so sad to leave this place. Would 1000% recommend to stay here if you’re in Ko Lanta.

This property was absolutely immaculate! The garden and pool area was beautiful and very well maintained . The room itself was large and spacious and so was the bathroom . The bed was extra large and comfortable. Air con was really good and there was coffee and water in the room replenished daily . We chose a room on the first floor with a Mountain View rather than a ground floor overlooking the pool and I’m really pleased we did the view from our balcony was stunning . The owners were super friendly and so helpful . They booked us our onward transfer to Phi Phi with collection from the hotel and speed boat to the island . Also we had 2 lots of laundry done returned the same day all for 50 bahts a kilo !! An excellent choice made with this hotel

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about Tum Mai Kaew Lanta Resort. Everything was great—from the warm and friendly owners to the clean and comfortable rooms, the convenient scooter rentals, and the relaxing pool area. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional stay, and all our needs were perfectly met. Truly a flawless experience!

We stayed here for 6 nights with my girlfriend, visiting Koh Lanta to enjoy the island, beaches, and to do some remote work. From the moment we booked, the accommodation was incredibly helpful, arranging transport from the airport for us. Upon arrival, the owners greeted us warmly, and it immediately felt like a wonderful place to stay. In Koh Lanta, getting around requires a scooter, and they offered rentals directly on-site, which we had a lot of fun using. They also help organize tours around the island and even provide laundry services, making our stay all the more convenient. The room was outstanding—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The pool area was a perfect spot to cool down and relax. I also used the facilities for remote work, and they worked great for my needs. Overall, it was an exceptional stay. A huge thank you to the friendly and caring owners who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. Truly nothing to dislike—I highly recommend Tum Mai Kaew Lanta Resort to anyone visiting Koh Lanta!

Too short.

It was a wonderful stopover in Koh Lanta. The resort is beautifully secluded, yet just a few minutes from the beach and other attractions. There’s a lovely little pool, and it’s truly very peaceful – that was absolutely fantastic. In my opinion, you do need a scooter, but the lovely staff member immediately arranges or fetches one for you. The little ray of sunshine takes care of everything and is truly an amazing person. Location wonderful. Quieter area. We had a slight problem with the shower when we first arrived. Dealt with within the hour. Excellent local Thai eateries. Host wad perfect She never stops. She arranged trips, scooter hire, tuktuks,laundry etc We extended our stay.

Lovely pool in the centre of bungalows and the reception, beautiful garden, massage hut on site. The manager is fantastic. However, she seems to manage everything by herself.

We loved our stay here! The hosts are so friendly and they will help you with everything. The location is also good, perfect if you want to explore all of Koh Lanta island. We will stay here again when in Koh Lanta!
