How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Communication. We had already paid for the accommodation on the second day, but the information was not relayed to the staff, so they ran after us on the last day, and they had to keep us there (we were already outside on the street, in the sun, loading the car) while calling the owner to check if we had paid or not. It was awkward and uncomfortable, for all parties involved.

The shower wasn’t great, not sure if it was just our hotel room but it didn’t have much power and I had to hold it
Bright, clean room and an amazing breakfast everyday - we absolutely loved the freshly baked breads & fruit. Lovely welcoming staff - slight language barrier but that is fine with us! Amazing location too, very near everything.

The most comfortable bed in Thailand, similar to mine back home. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and always had a warm smile. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and filling. The location is close to the bus terminal, night market and plenty of bars/restaurants.

This place exceeded my expectations. The staff are extremely welcoming and the beds were the most comfortable during my time in the country. My sheets were clean and a hot delicious breakfast was served to guest every morning. This hotel is also a bakery so we were able to try fresh bread in the morning along with our coffee. We really felt welcomed and enjoyed our proximity to the night bazaar.

It wasn’t a problem for us but the stairs were quite narrow with no lift, just something to bare in mind
We loved it all! The bed was super comfortable and huge, the free breakfast was incredible, the location was really central but still quiet, toilet rolls and towels provided, free water in the lobby, the staff were lovely…I wish I could stay longer! Don’t hesitate to book this great place :)

Absolutely lovedddd the breakfast. It was so filling & delicious and the sweet lady at the reception was amazing. We could store our backpacks after checkout and when we got back she gave us each a homemade bun and a small orange for our travels. So so sweet!

The light in our bathroom was very dim, I don't know there was any defect in the lamp. The air conditioning had no temperature regulation.
Definitely the breakfast they provided us was very worth it! Accommodation is quite simple, but it is enough for a budget traveler. One can use the kitchen utensils available, including a refrigerator and a microwave.

Limited lighting in the room, it became very dark at night. There was a constant leak under sink for duration of our stay. Room could have been cleaner. There was ants on the table
Great location, close to terminal 1 bus station and attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Delicious fresh breakfast each morning with juice and fruit. Large room and comfortable bed

Neighbours noise. Piece of garbage on paper holder in toilet. Window very difficult to open, no mosquito net. Extractor fan in toilet is dead.

Rooms could have some renovation. No elevator.
The breakfast was the best, the property is also a bakery and the offer multiple types of bread in the morning. The staff was pretty nice too.

Rooms are getting a little old.
Location is perfect. Staff is super friendly and helping. Rooms are great for this price. We had a big gone with a small balcony for the evening beer or eat your takeaway food. Hot water always available : not a mini heater with low pressure! Breakfast is simple and good with home made bread.

This has been our nicest stay in Thailand so far. The lovely lady who runs the place made us feel so welcome. The staff went out of their way to help us. When renting a bike she even drew a little map as to what the best route would be to see the temples. When we arrived we received a huge bottle of cold water. There was free water refills as well. The bed was comfy the room was clean the shower was warm. Excellent value for money. Really nice tasty breakfast as it has its own bakery. We were leaving on our last morning at 5am to get the slow boat to laos and the lady left a big bag of breakfast stuff for us to take with us on our travels without even asking. Honestly so nice would definitely come back here if in Chiang Rai again!

We have been in this accomodation for the second time. Very good location - calm but still in the Centre. The staff is very nice and od course we enjoyed the best free breakfast!
