Tong was exceptional, her and her family were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like we were in our home away from home. She is the kindest woman we have met on our travels and we cannot recommend her home enough. She will go out of her way to keep you feeling like part of the family. Everyone who comes has a similar mindset of getting out of the big cities and experiencing what it is to be with locals, so the vibe of the place is great. Like most people that go to Tong's home, we kept on extending because we genuinely didn't want to leave. The location is fantastic with local hot springs close by, and a view of the mountain which will take your breath away. Thank you so much Tong!

The Homestay is exactly what you want; simple but very nice/ comfortable/ clean rooms. The thing we enjoyed most was the atmosphere and company - Tong is an incredible host and cook who will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to organise day trips/ hikes/ activities you’re interested in. And the setting is in the valley of some amazing mountains.

Water pressure could be better in the shower, but not a big problem.

Thong is an amazing host and speaks very good english! The food the family made was amazing and can definitely recommend spending 100 baht for dinner. Don't expect luxury, but a wonderful place in nature with a welcoming family. We also had a bbq with Thong and other guests. There is no AC in the dorm rooms, but the it cools down at night, so it's comfortable. The area is best explored on a motorbike, possibly a bicycle.

Super comfy beds AAMAZING host family True Homestay vibes Nature Quiet The FOOD !! For a reasonable fee you can eat dinner there. The family prepare really wonderful thai and Shan foods, very tasty and huge amounts. Be kind, the food costs the same as Thong charges so consider leaving a nice tip when you leave if happy. Breakfast is filling and plentiful. Camping is also available at this place, message thing to enquire. Highly Rated two or three nights getaway from it all destination and homestay.

An amazing escape in Chiang Dao. Comfortable rooms with en suites and AC while also being the in the middle of nature! Thong is an amazing host and provided the best breakfast - avocado, eggs, toast, coffee and fruit bowls. Dinner was optional and was just as good. Thank you Thong. Would recommend to anyone wanting to unplug from big cities while also having the comforts of AC, WiFi etc.

Everything! Great food until you're completely full whenever you want to for a cheap price. Absolutely lovely family that will do anything to make your stay wonderful. They drived me here and there just because they're nice. The rooms are great with fans and extra sheets. They have nice hammocks in the common areas. The neighborhood is friendly and peaceful. There were many good working showers and toilets with soap and shampoo. Of course they offer scooter rental. There is a free local hot spring in 2km of the property. Rooms are very clean and they provide free drinking water and coffee 24/7 ...and lots of mango! <3

Walking to hot spring 25 minutes, Seven Eleven or Chiang Dao Cave without scooter a bit far away, if Tong is not busy she will bring you.

This place deserves more than a 10! We stayed in the private room for 3 nights and had a great time. Thong is the most friendly host you’ll ever meet and she makes you feel like home. Staying with her, her little boy and her mother made us feel like we were part of the family. We had nice conversations with her and the other guests, ate together and played games. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was great. Highly recommend!

Thongs family , since I got to the place I felt like home right away. Thong is helpful and very caring, she cooks great amazing food and if you stay for more than one day you will get to know her family. They even invited me over for a BBQ. The place is really close to the hot springs accesible by walking 20 min

I loved everything about the place.

The plan was to stop here for a night on my bike packing trip and I ended up staying for 3 nights and I didn't want to leave the place. Thongs is wonderful and super friendly host. Takes care of her guests with so much love. Her mom is very sweet and keeps feeding us snacks and deserts all the time which I loved so much. I had all my meals here as they were prepared at home. Super tasty 😋. My best wishes to Thongs. Hopefully will get to come back here again sometime soon.

The water isn’t always on but you just have to tell Thong you need it and you’ll be fine. The breakfast compensates for pretty much anything.

Thong was the best host I’ve ever had and she gave my girlfriend and I a truly memorable stay. She went above and beyond in taking care of us and I recommend anyone who plans to visit Chiang Dao to stay with her.
