A Hidden Gem – Hard to Find a Better Place! This place truly exceeded all expectations. The hotel room was enormous—more like a private apartment—offering comfort, space, and everything you need for a longer stay. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with lush greenery, birdsong in the morning, and a stunning pool that feels like it’s tucked away in a private corner of nature. What makes it even more special is how it combines peaceful, natural surroundings with easy access to the city—it’s the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always helpful without being intrusive. You can really feel the care and effort put into making guests feel welcome. It’s difficult to find a place that offers all this: spacious accommodation, beautiful nature, great service, and city access. A true gem. Whether you stay for a few days or more, you won’t regret it!

It's really far from the Hua Hin City center, like 15-20 scooter minutes. I wouldn't book this apartment without a vehicle available. I also think this place needs to grow on you, for short stays I would maybe stay more central if you stay more than one week or even months this is a good choice. At some point I didn't go to the city center anymore because driving around the hills and exploring hidden cafes and restaurants was more exciting at some point. Keep that in mind, its really not central. Only downside at the resort was that there are not enough umbrellas at the pool, so we never really went. Without umbrella it's too hot in the sun and the 1-2 umbrellas they have were always quickly occupied. Make the pool area more inviting (umbrella, fans, etc.)!

The apartment is fully equipped and spacious, there's a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, very nice to live there long-term, very quiet in the nature and Hua Hin hills. There's also a nice pool. Only 15 minutes to the airport. Restaurants and cafes are available in this area but not walkable. No problem if you have a scooter.

The only negative in our opinion was that the staff discouraged us from partaking of the hotel’s breakfast service and suggested we use Grab (the local food delivery app) instead. We had looked forward to having breakfast on the property. Nonetheless, we had an amazing time here and will definitely return.

Beautiful grounds in a quiet and scenic hillside area, but only 12 to 15 minutes ton everything in Hua Hin. We had a three bedroom villa that was roomy, well-furnished, and gorgeous. The equipment of the rooms is in the comfort zone. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to implementing wishes. There are many tourist attractions in the surrounding area.

Almost everything was OK, for improvement my only two comments would be that if the sofa were larger (I like to lie down full length) and if hot water in the shower was available (in December it is a little chilly but not a big deal as the outside temperatures are still comparatively warm so this is just a minor niggle).

Location was excellent for me, as it is in a quiet and lovely semi rural setting, with the calls of the water birds and at the same time a 10 to 15 minute trip by taxi or motorbike ride into the heart of the town. The apartment was clean, and aesthetically pleasing with a balcony overlooking the pool.

No extra motorcycle for rent.

The room is far more beyond my imagination, there are three beds in the bedroom, suitable for a whole family, decoration is sweety. And the householder is very nice too, he prepared fruits at night, and desert after breakfast as well.BTW, I like the sticky rice. The hotel is a little bit far away from the beach and the central town, but it's close to the Elephant Village, which makes it's quite and cozy.

The staff were absolutely wonderful,The accommodation [Queen Suite] was spacious, clean and well-appointed with a sofa and table and chairs in the living room and a nice big TV [with Netflix], fridge, kettle and plates and cutlery for ordered-in food A lovely, welcoming place to come back to at the end of a day sightseeing or a delightful peaceful place to spend the day swimming and sunbathing. The pool and pool area was wonderfully peaceful and very clean and the gardens were well looked after and surrounded by coconut palms and frangipani trees

The main drawback of this property is its location as it's quite far out of town and not in a very salubrious area. Once at the property, however, there is a wonderful peaceful atmosphere. It is better to rent a motorbike or car in order to get to and from the property. I used Grab cars [like Uber] which worked well and I usually didn't have to wait long for a car and it was reasonably-priced. There were not very many people there when I stayed but if there had been, there may have been a shortage of sunbeds/seats around the pool. It was necessary to have the lights on inside the accommodation as the windows were too small to let in enough natural daylight but it did keep the sun out.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Tookta, the lovely receptionist spoke great English and her brilliant team mates, Rat and Apple and the very friendly chef, were so cheerful, friendly and helpful. They made me feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The pool and pool area was wonderfully peaceful and very clean and the gardens were well looked after and surrounded by coconut palms and frangipani trees. The restaurant area was lovely with a view of the pool and breakfast was great with a good selection of dishes. Cold drinks were available throughout the day from a fridge in reception. The accommodation [Queen Suite] was spacious, clean and well-appointed with a sofa and table and chairs in the living room and a nice big TV [with Netflix], fridge, kettle and plates and cutlery for ordered-in food. Good air-conditioning in both living room and bedroom and a nice comfy bed. There was also a nice little table and chairs outside with a view of the pool. This is a wonderful place with traditional Thai architecture. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. You won't need a baggage check to get your luggage to your room. They will already know you. The breakfast is awesome traditional Thai food. Others have commented about wishing for more western food, but why come to Thailand and expect McDonald's. The blue tile pool is beautiful in the sun. The rooms' a.c. work great. It's off in a quiet location making unwinding after a day's activities very easy.

We had to leave.

Not everyone will rate The Sun House as highly but for us it was perfect. Not in the city centre (about 5 klms out) but in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle. We hired a motorcycle direct from the hotel. We had the one bedroom apartment and it was bigger than my apartment back home. Crockery and cutlery were wrapped in glad wrap and there's a coffee capsule machine. ( Huge tick for me) Big pool and like everything at The Sun House it was kept spotless. The best experience was meeting the proprietor, Mo and her family. They really do epitimise what Thai culture is all about. They treated us like family and made us feel at home. Tourist numbers are down in Hua Hin and every business is struggling. I am proud to offer this review and I would urge anyone thinking of renting in Hua Hin to support Mo and her family at The Sun House. They deserve it. See you all next trip. Gary J

Very welcoming and super friendly staff (they helped us rent a motorbike etc) and the room were huge, and really felt like a home. The pool area, and all the area around are very nice. It's calm here, no big roads or trafic close by, so very relaxing. Still close to town and resturants with motorbike or taxi.

The road/Soi leading up to the property could be improved, but the same can be said for most roads/Soi’s in Hua Hin.

The staff made us very welcome and exceeded our previous experiences in Hua Hin. Recently renovated, very clean and relaxing. Swimming pool was great. The quiet location is ideally suited for golfers playing the numerous top level courses and only a short drive to the town center.
