The staff who ran the property told us to get taxis through them as no taxis come to the property. So we used them and they charged us 900 baht for 25 minute journey. When we got a grab home was only 250 baht and after 2 days there we realised taxis can pick you up from there they were just trying to get money out of us. The pool was really cold and could have done with a slight paint job the photos on booking.com are slightly outdated and look like the property is newer in the photos

The only and the biggest issue is the access to the property The very steep driveway to the villa is almost impassable, especially after it rains. Taxis have no chance of driving up to the villa and often refuse service due to its location. The same applies to Uber Eats. I wasn’t able to place a delivery order even once. This place is more suited for people who want to spend their entire stay in one location.

Always video mopeds when collecting to make sure you have proof of the condition it was on when you collected. We did, so this stopped any disputes about a crack on the moped that was pointed out as we had evidence it was there on collection. (Just like anywhere in Thailand!)

Amazing views from up here. The food is also amazing. Beds really comfy. Tips; use the accommodations taxi - you need 4WD to access. Take supplies - water / snacks up with you because once you are up - that’s it unless you hire a moped. We hired a moped from Fredrick- it was in really good condition so it had no problems getting 2 of us up and down the steep hills (except the very first one I would walk 10meters and get on there) the place is gorgeous, not the easiest to get to or from but that view is worth it!

The location is not comfortable. The villa is down a VERY steep hill that do not allow access to the taxi unless you have 4WD. It’s accessible walking but definitely not something comfortable and a bit scary when the floor is wet.

One of the best view in Joh Samui. The rooms are big, good breakfast and very gentle host.

The road up to the hotel was VERY steep. My friend had to walk about up and downhill every time we came and left because I had to drive the scooter myself to be safe.

The view was beautiful! Room walls/doors of glass made the view even better! The owners were friendly and it was easy to rent a scooter from the hotel. The food was delicious and there was a water dispenser by the pool.

Location isn’t great. You can’t access the property via car as there is a very steep hill. Taxis cost extra due to the hill. Then attempting to walk up the hill or take luggage is a very difficult thing to do. Water was inconsistent, some days we had it, others we didn’t. Also no TV in your room. Hosts were friendly but our room did take an hour to get ready after we arrived and hosts did seem very casual about everything, also had to remind them To return our laundry.

Accessibility to the resort. Public car refuse to drive all the way up due to the road condition not designed for vans and normal passenger cars. Basic room design.

Honestly I found it very difficult reaching the villa. Also not very practical when driving a motorcycle. But once u reach, you will forget the road that led u there. Room also needed some maintenance (Internet, some lightning issues)

The biggest downside is also the reason why it’s so phenomenal, which is being on mountain side. It’s difficult to get off the mountain unless you know how to scooter steep (I mean very steep) hills and can drive on the left side of the road. If you’re from North America this makes it very difficult and leaves you the option to ask Fred or his wife, or call a taxi. If asking Fred you’re at the behest of his availability and if you call a taxi you most likely will have to walk up the steep hill just so the taxi can reach you, but note not all taxi’s will drive up the mountain.

Amazing villa atop a mountain in Koh Samui. phenomenal view with two pools, taxi service, and food service (Fred and his wife can taxi and prepare food upon request but at their availability). We stayed in unit B8, which we argue is the best villa because it has a pool, mountain and ocean view, and it’s on the 2nd level so you have privacy.

i think the lock a3 was broken. key was replaced, but the door of the villa could not be locked. note: although it didn’t matter myself, i think it should be mentioned on booking that the road to the villa is a bit far out and very steep, so a scooter is a must.. and you can rent it at the villa or the bring you to the closest one.

nice room, nice place, nice people! breakfast is, as it is at many places in Thailand, a set dish with choice of how you want your eggs. Dinner is very nice.

Not sure about the food choices if we’d stayed there longer, and also remote location.

This villa is in an amazing location for an idyllic view. Unfortunately because of a flight cancellation we only got to stay there one night out of an intended three. But the owner upgraded our room and offered us free breakfast. It’s really up a very steep hill so if we’d stayed there longer I don’t know how easy it would have been to go into town. The rooms are clean, nice, not super big. Communal pools look like they’re straight out of Instagram, beautiful.
