Lighting in the living space was very bright. We moved the lamp from the bedroom to overcome this and make it feel more cosy. Some more shelves / hooks in the bathroom would also be helpful.

Cosy home away from home with everything you need! Ideal for longer stays as you have the living space and sofa area. Also option to cook own food and a good size fridge for storing food. It was quiet and in a lovely area that made you feel like you weren’t just a tourist in a hotel! It was very clean and the owners are lovely and helpful people. I loved that there was squidgy tool for removing water in the bathroom after showering. Joy came to clean the space and changed the bedding and towels during our stay, which we appreciated as we have stayed 5+ days in other places where this isn’t offered. We were also able to rent a scooter from the owners so we could explore the island immediately.

The house was huge and really clean and comfortable with lounge, dining area, outside terrace. Frank and Joy were always about to offer advice on points of interest and organised scooters which were there when we arrived (essential to get about and for restaurants in the evenings). Joy also organised taxi and speedboat transfers for our next destination! Thankyou!!

The secret garden is amazing! We stayed here for 5 nights and we would highly recommend! Thanks so much to Joy and Frank, they were super helpful and great hosts! Our stayed began with us having a problem with our scooter closer to the central of the island and Frank drove us there so we could return the scooter which really helped us a lot. We were able to hire a scooter at the secret garden for 250 bath per day which was good because it is a necessity to have a scooter to drive around and explore this beautiful island. The bungalows are newly built so very modern and super clean. The bed was comfortable and yeah really the bungalow was great! The area itself is beautiful and very calm and quiet which we loved as well. During our stay Joy and Frank were always happy to help in any way and again super friendly. Joy also helped us book a taxi and speedboat back to Phuket which was great which made us save a few hundred baths. If we ever come back to Koh Yao Yai we are definitely coming back to The Secret Garden!

We spent 9 days in the Junior Suite with garden view and it was perfect for us. Super large with a separate bedroom , and all spotlessly clean. The owners Franck and Joy were very kind and offered to help us with activities on the island and directed us to beaches and restaurants. They arranged a scooter which gave us the freedom to move around the island and I would strongly recommend. In all , it was a very relaxing stay and we didnt want to leave!

We loved everything

The owners are just amazing, super kind and nice people. This was by far our favourite stay during our 1 month trip in Thailand. Their place is very modern, well equipped with nice taste and design, excellent value. Take their breakfast, it is very good and also the best coffee we ever had during our trip. Best sleep at night as place is secluded and really quite, I truly appreciated it as I am a light sleeper and struggled everywhere else before. we loved that it is on the less touristy side of the island yet even more beautiful and authentic. The motorbike Franck gave us was in excellent shape. They advised to us nice places to visit on the island, thanks to that we had a hidden beach just for ourselves. We cannot recommend their place enough, you can feel that they put their hearts into this little secret “home far away from home.” Thank you so much Franck and Joy, and we truly hope to see you again.

If you dont ride motorbike is difficult to move around because restaurants and shops are quite far from the accomodation. Anyway u can hire transport services to move on (or even bike), owners can help you with that. The nearest beach (Loh Jak) is quite nice and relaxing and at least u can go by walk (20 min).

Amazing place in amazing island! Bungalows are really big, comfy, clean and NEW! Owners recently opened this hotel and is perfect if you are looking for relax in the middle of the jungle of a island still not very touristic and very local! U will fall in love with the place, is really home, very quiet and beautiful around. They serve delicious breakfast for 250 THB. Also they were very nice with me and took me by motorbike to the nearest beaches. Many thanks!

I just loved my stay at Secret Garden Homestay! I spent an amazing week there, the bungalows are modern and very comfortable, in a quiet place, perfect for a good rest! Very well located, a few minutes drive from the beach/restaurants/ shops. The hosts are attentive and sweet, they give very good advice on the activities and travel tansportation. I will definitely stay there again if I can and I highly recommend this place! :)

Great service by the owner family, very clean and modern tiny house with great quality of furniture and equipment. Good WiFi and the atmosphere in the nature is really impressive. Definitely recommendable!
