Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaFood for breakfast was very ordinary. Eg same fruit every day, no bread variation. Hot food was not appetising, very plain & tasteless. Same rice, noodles, ham, etc every day. No cheese or pastries. Pool area need more shade & comfortable seating, prices for drinks expensive for a 4 star hotel.
Large, well furnished, comfortable room. Staff were helpful & friendly. Well situated being close to Sathorn Pier & rail, short walk to many shops and eating places.

United KingdomThe hotel is a bit dated - but you get what you pay for. In all honesty, we didn't like the location or Bangkok. I think you could have put us up in the best hotel in the world and we still wouldn't be happy. The city is just so depressing. Literally everywhere it smells really bad, it has rubbish just dumped on every street, its traffic is dangerous and it has unhygenic street food next to bare footed beggars. I wouldn't visit again. The hotel was fine. The city was awful. I was so glad to leave.
The hotel is good value for money.

AustraliaSome of the furnishings are getting old, and the bathroom is due for maintenance but this did not detract from the great stay we had. For the price this property is great value.
The hotel is located in a great position, close to the train and the river. In the evening there are many food stalls down the street, a really great atmosphere! Just down the road there is a large shopping centre with a food hall downstairs which is also great. The property itself is older but we had a wonderful stay and it’s great value for money. On our last day our air con stopped working and they were unable to fix it so moved us across the hallway to another room.

AustraliaIt was quite noisy at night time and the place was quite old fashioned. They didn’t have an iron and the toilet didn’t flush correctly - I had asked reception if someone could take a look but they never sent anyone up.
It was a nice area, and close proximity to shops. The rooftop was also quite good and a nice pool.

United KingdomPool not really suitable for swimming, too shallow. Steep steps access to hotel. Very firm bed, good for me but my wife found uncomfortable.
Very good location, close to bus and BTS travel options. Authentic Thai eating options close by. Bedding and towels changed every day! Helpful and friendly staff.

United KingdomNothing really, bathrooms etc aren’t brand new but they were clean and functional and again it’s all about value for money. No complaints.
The hotel was great value for money. Really spacious room (didn’t book very cheapest room but something in middle), area fantastic with local vibe good food and both river and sky train. Great little pool. Friendly staff. If you want a good base in Bangkok in local area that’s easy to get around with good street food then I’d suggest. I was a bit put off about a few negative reviews but you realise not everyone is happy all the time. The hotel isn’t brand new but it has some character and as I say it’s great value in brilliant location.

GermanyThe gym is very small and not quite usable. It is a small glass enclosure overlooking the pool. Cramped even for 2 persons. It gets very hot inside, and even though the AC works, it is still too hot for a good workout. The equipment still works, but is quite dated. The weights are not nearly enough.
Very spacious room, clean, with massive wood furniture, so we didn't mind that it looks dated. King-sized bed, with a hard mattress, but to my surprise, we slept well. The AC worked well, even if a little loud. Other than the AC, we did not hear any noises. The location is fantastic! 7 minutes walk to the MRT, 10 minutes to the boat pier. Great food court (Ma! Bang Rak) next to the mall, with delicious food for very good prices. The pool on the rooftop was enjoyable, as well as the lounge area around it.

AustraliaThe breakfast is ok ,a buffet with limited choices, food was only just lukewarm to almost cold. Could use a better heating system for it . We have stayed here once before , unfortunately, both times l have found the bed too hard , and lm used to extra firm Asian beds , so we won’t be returning , my back just got too sore after a couple of nights.
Proximity to river and BTS . Large rooms , nice rooftop pool. Staff are super friendly . Plenty of places to eat a short stroll away .Good value for money.

United KingdomArrived llate at night. Check in straight forward. Staff were very lovely, carrying cases etc. Happy to help. Free drink on arrival. Bottles of water daily in our room. The hotel was pleasant with a lovely rooftop pool. We never had any trouble getting beds. Breakfast was ok with usual choices. However, the hotel looks a little tired. Good location for the river.

United KingdomThe main disappointment was that on booking.com we had the option to select 'airport transfer' but the hotel said that's not an option and they can book us a taxi. We ended up getting Grab as that's the cheapest. Everything else was alright, the hotel is a bit old and not on a glamorous street but that is reflected in the price, the rooms were clean and that's all that mattered to us.
The room was alright, you get what you pay for. The beds were comfortable, we had to turn down the AC because it was very strong (might be a positive for some people). They cleaned the room every day, changed the towels and brought us mineral water. Not luxurious but you have everything you need!

United KingdomEach room should have a microwave, or at least there should be one per floor. The bathrobes and slippers could be replaced with a newer model, as the current ones look old and worn out. The air conditioning is quite loud—maybe it's worth investing in a quieter, more modern system. The pool is only open until 11 PM, but it should stay open longer. Also, smoking marijuana by the pool should be prohibited.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the pier and SkyTrain. It offers spacious rooms and a very nice pool with a beautiful city view. The reception is open 24/7, and there is a free luggage storage service if you are going on a longer trip and returning to the same hotel after. Staff is very helpful and pleasant.

United StatesThe beds were very firm--although I didn't mind them, it was painful for my wife's back. Also, although the hotel's website says their restaurant, Rendezvous, is available for all-day dining, it is actually only open in the morning. There is a Cantonese restaurant next door, however.
The staff were all absolutely wonderful! The decor was vintage and very charming, and the drink we were welcomed with was delicious. The location was in good proximity to many high-volume tourist destinations by taxi.

IsraelIt’s not that I didn’t like, but with the location and the somewhat old building I thought i could just stay next time in a cheap hotel in Silom area and save myself a few hundred baht
Only came for a night. The room was big and the bed super comfortable. The staff was great, efficient, friendly. Actually one of the best I encountered.
