Private bathroom AC

Bathroom usable and worked fine, but was dilapidated.

Incredibly friendly staff, especially Kew!! They helped us with our suitcase at night, which was supposed to be delivered from the airport, and also assisted with all the questions we had. When we are in Bangkok again, we will definitely come back!

AC was not working well

Grand Palace Hostel was a fantastic stay on our trip. The host was awesome, had a lot of great recommendations, helped us out a lot. The value for the rooms is top notch. Location is pretty good, near attractions, but kind of a quieter area. Depends on what you're looking for.

Nice clean facility, host spoke ok English and was friendly and helpful. Good wifi and ac in room.

My hot water kept cutting off while showering and it was sometimes impossible to turn back on, which was very uncomfortable . Host tried to fix it. Also they hung a towel bar over the door to the balcony very low and I kept smacking my head on it coming in the room. See picture, who thought that was a good idea?

The staff were very helpful. They allowed me to leave my bag there so I could go sight seeing on my departure day. Was fairly close to the Metro and the Royal Theatre. The room was very basic. Ok for overnight stay if you can’t get anywhere else.

No hot water. Mattress on the floor. No window.

The shower had poor pressure, the sheets didn’t seem clean, they only gave me one water the whole time I was there, the aircon was noise, I got asked everyday if I was checking out, they said they had a washing machine but the staff was always using it.

Location to china town was ok and many food places nearby. They stored our luggage for a few hours so we could look at the temples nearby. Very friendly staff

The ceiling of the room was too low. Bed too hard

The host is very kind, super helpful. Location is good in terms of time of travel.

The street where the place is located is dead and almost creepy. The shower is not convenient. Hot water run very short and no pressure in the shower

The hotel manager was very friendly. We arrived late after our flight was delayed, the hotel has 24 hour reception

The room is nothing special for the price. It had a small balcony but nowhere to sit and it hadn't been cleaned...it was very dirty outside. There isn't much atmosphere there for people who might expect a "hostel" style place.

This is a family hostel which is operated by mother and his son. The mother is nice and can speak Chinese, she is a Chinese descendant. This hostel is very cozy and friendly. If I go to Bangkok again, I am sure I will choose this hostel.

The location was good. Walking distance to many things as well as a Metro station. Decent coffee shop, craft beer and 7-eleven nearby.

We had the King room and I didn't feel much like royalty in it. The bed was big but there were no coffee/tea making facilities and no refrigerator. If you are going to label something as King it should at minimum include these two things.

The hotel manager was friendly, but the hotel owner woman came to my room at minute intervals, even though it was still my day and I was still in the bathroom at the time, she came to my room for charge. The room was dirty and the sheets smelled bad.

Big roach in the room, but that’s Thailand for you! Not a social hostel.
