How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hostel is good, but I had a bad experience with my roommates. They arrived in the middle the night and were very noisy and irrespective towards sleeping people.

Not my fave area in Bangkok. Busy and less relaxing. But the hostel itself is a nice place, water for shower can be warmer.
It was the first time I stay in a traditional hostel and Silom. Reception staff was very helpful and friendly.

There are a lot of stairs
Pretty cool hostel, lots of common space. Super close to bts and malls. Overall great location. Staff are very helpful.

the air was a bit clammy in my room but if guests never open the window then that’s why. nothing bad, i would definitely come again

Light went in my bed. I mentioned it to staff twice and they never did anything about it.
Great location near Lumphini Park. Rooms are quiet and well air conditioned. Good WiFi and area downstairs to work in. Bed pods were fine.

However, if you can’t do steep stairs this would be impossible. The breakfast is toast and instant coffee or tea.
Overall very good for the price. The staff was so nice.

The bathroom could use some serious attention especially the black mould growing in the sink of the mens bathroom on the 3rd floor. It would be nice to get some fresh air or a purifier in the room being enclosed with 10 people in there the smell gets to be a bit much.
Staff were super kind and helpful, the hostel was really quiet in fact I've never stayed as quiet as this before which in my 30's I appreciated. The beds were super comfortable and the air conditioning made it cool and relaxing.

Bathrooms sinks were grotty. Generator sound in the room. The aircon worked well but if someone turned their bed fan on it was really noisy and earplugs couldn't block it out.
Great location near Lumphini park, the metro and SkyTrain. Very comfortable & clean beds. Locker Under bed to fit backpack (nb. It won't fit a suitcase). Showers and bathrooms are okay. Warm water and good water pressure even being on 3rd floor. The staff member Pan was the best - he helped me to book two tours with pickup from the hostel. Such a helpful and kind man. I really recommend booking the tours from here - I did the floating market/ railway market tour and the Ayutthaya tour.

It was super clean and quiet. Just the bed construction a bit old (foldable table broken) But extremely clean and good mattress and pillows! You will enjoy your stay in a super location.

Biggest thing- the actual street it is on. So many rats and cockroaches, it was not a fun feeling :/
Everyone was nice and helpful, let me check in a bit early! I stayed in the womens only room and honestly that has to be the best hotel choice I have ever made- felt safe, talked to some nice girls and omg it was so so quiet!!

The rats and creepy crawlies in the alley I have to hurdle through to get to the hostel, which is the case everywhere in Bangkok, so not their fault. No lift! And they put me in the 4th floor.
The place! It is 2 minutes walk to everything in Silom and safe even when I called the night at 3am. The Myanmar staff were warm and friendly, sweet!

No elevators for those who have heavy things might be hard to carry your stuff. I was on the 4th floor with my backpack + 1 laptop back, it was ok.

We only realised on the last day that breakfast was included which wasn’t advertised on our arrival and would’ve been nice to know. Not sure what the breakfast was and it might have been quite basic but would’ve had it if we knew.
The dorm was clean and comfortable. The location was nice as it was close to Lumphini Park and also close to the underground and overground stations.
