Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThailand must act on the blanket of pollution that is greying the skies or tourism will surely suffer. Most Westerners are environmentally conscious these days, particularly under 40's. The Thai Government is clearly not doing enough as this began in January and is still here in April from Phuket to Chiang Mai. The air pollution in Bangkok is clearly visible, a public health hazard and I would hope regarded as a national embarrassment.
Soi 51 is a good location with essential shops, music bars, restaurants and a fitness centre along the road without being in the center of town. The hotel is set back from the road so very quiet in the rooms. 3 minutes' walk from the beach and 10 mins to the town center. No frills accommodation, but decent enough, kept clean by friendly staff and good value for money.

United KingdomI would prefer a safe in the room. If there's a sandy beach nearby, I couldn't find one although the coast itself is probably only about 5 or 10 minutes walk away.
The staff on reception were among the most friendly I have met - normally acknowledging and smiling at me even when I wasn't otherwise engaged with them. My stay was mostly trouble free and any problems were quickly resolved. My room, inc balcony and bathroom, were a decent size. Shops and restaurants only a few minutes walk away.

CanadaUncomfortable bed&pillows. Very hard mattress. Actually, it's not a mattress, but a box spring recovered with a flimsy and very thin(3-4 cm) Styrofoam mattress topper. Shame! That's it. Not all rooms are equipped like that. Some have very good mattresses... I've had the opportunity to verify that with the cleaning ladies. This is why you will find some good critics among the evaluations. Unfortunately, they gave me this room(314) for 11 nights. On what criteria? I have no idea. Also, it is not near to the beach, as mentioned in their presentation. Near the shoreline will be more appropriate to say. In fact, the real beach starts about 2 km from there. So, it's a 40-minute walk, too much. Finally, smokers are allowed to smoke everywhere around the pool. Unconceivable... we are in the 21st century. Come on! They should have a restricted area to smoke and allow non smokers not to be bothered by secondhand smoke .
Easy check-in and check-out. Very clean everywhere. Nice pool area. Quiet place. Nice & big lobby. Polite staff.

CanadaThe pool was cold! Lol. Conversation is a little tricky, mostly just Thai understanding.
This is a very affordable hotel, located close to restaurants, 7-11, massage, spas and the songthaew goes down the road a half block away. There are 4 ladies that keep the entire facility super clean and some of the front desk staff go the extra mile to help. The beds are quite firm, but housekeeping got us a comforter and put it on top of the mattress, which was very nice.

AustraliaNo complaints. I've stayed here before and I'll probably stay here again, especially with the French café breakfast spot!
What did I like?? 24 hr reception, since I arrived around 2am! Easy to find, walkable from train station, it's in a good less-busy location with all the necessary services nearby. Great French café with scooter hire out front, 7-11 across the road, laundry services and eateries down the street. Staff have enough English to serve muppets like me. Seems to be wheelchair accessible for those who need it. They do free tea/coffee each morning, have lockers available for use, and some limited parking. My very clean room was spacious enough, AC & TV worked well, enough surfaces to spread and sort my gear despite no wardrobe or hangers. Fridge and bottled water provided. I had 2 windows and it was very quiet. Attentive housekeeping staff. Bathroom is excellent with good water pressure and fully enclosed shower. Bum-gun was adequate. Bed and pillows are comfy. Pool is refreshing.

South AfricaThere is a live music bar nearby that tends to go until the morning hours. This didn't bother us every night, but some nights were a bit loud
This part of Hua Hin is my new favorite. We were some of the only foreigners in the area, which was surprising, considering the time of year. The hotel is so close to everything that side too (7 Eleven across the road, plenty of restaurants, shops, and spas all the way down to a quiet stretch of beach)
