The restaurant sits right beside a busy the main foreshore street and there is not really a beach to speak of but apart from that it’s lovely

Room service didn’t give clean glasses daily , they took the card away so came back to hot room n medication in fridge had been turned off then on last day power was cut off around 10am yet we didn’t have to check out till noon . The pool queues on the tables need the tips replaced as they are basically worn out .

The way the pictures are presented online and what you arrive to is not the same. Unfortunately the inconsistency in the rooms are not great either, some rooms have stand alone showers and some have showers in the bath. We where 6 Adults and all 3 rooms had different set ups and not all good set ups. Aircons are also noisy. The Reception staff are not welcoming and almost never greet you. Not what we have come to expect from Thailand.

Great Breakfast, honestly one of the best on the trip. Great variety and cooked fresh everyday. Our room was good with a built in shower. The Bar Staff, especially Moon was incredible.

Fantastic location and very nice and friendly staff. Special thanks to Golf and her sister. they were fantastic. Rooms are little dated but clean. aircon was fantastic. Not in the very busy part of the beach but only 5 min. TukTuk ride away from the action. Value for money. Pool is awesome. Hotels car park is free and available. Nice, clean, safe and affordable place to stay.

Rooms could use a bit of a modern refresh

The location is amazing — right across the street from the beach, and the view from the room was exactly what we were hoping for: blue sea, golden sunsets, and a peaceful vibe. The room itself felt slightly dated in terms of decor, but it was clean and functional. What really stood out was the staff — friendly, helpful, and made check-in a breeze. The pool area was also a plus after a day out. It’s a great stay if you want a quieter spot near Patong but still close enough for a tuk-tuk ride to the buzz.

We ordered in room a couple of dishes. the special dish for 150 baht consisted of roasted chicken, green papaya salad, sticky rice and chips. Papaya salad so spicy could not eat it, chicken was drier than cardboard, and the sticky rice came in a bowel rather than a banana leaf as shown on the menu, but that too was so dry and rock hard.

Had room I requested just on the higher floor, which I loved. Pool area great, enough sun lounges. If we had an issue, the maintenance crew were right onto it. Very pleasant. Breakfast had a good variety of foods, alot of asian/indian cuisine, but still enough other choices.

The beach across the road wasn’t a swimmers beach and the location was a bit far from Patong. The shuttle service was always full and we were never able to catch it back to the hotel.

but we didnt like the sound insultaion at the rooms becuase we were uncomfortable due to noise of the pools and also lugagge tires when other rooms checking out , there corridors is too long and there tiles size dimension was two small and also the doors room was not sealed perfectly to prevent Luggage tire and other noise to not inter the rooms

The room cleaner were not cleanin the washroom nicely. The hotel is opposite to the beach but the beach is not accessible.

The only downsides were the daytime noise due to ongoing construction work on the upper floors, which could be a bit disturbing. Also, the resort area felt slightly darker at night than expected and could benefit from better lighting.

I had a great stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making for a very relaxing experience. The front desk staff were extremely cooperative and helpful throughout our stay. The swimming pool was excellent — a perfect spot to unwind. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options to choose from. One of the best features was the free shuttle service to Patong city every half an hour, which made getting around super convenient. Overall, a great resort with good service, comfort, and value. Highly recommended!
