It was completely different from anything I've experienced in Thailand. I felt like I was at home with a Thaï style setting. The owners are really so lovely and welcome you as if you were part of their family. It was as if we have known each other for a long time. There is a kind of natural magic in the atmosphere here. This place is synonymous with relaxation, serenity, happiness, peace, harmony, love and unity. The room was clean and confortable, i also had a kitchen with many good equipments. The location was perfect for me because I was going to Orion which was close to my bungalow. And also, there is a supermarket at 2 min by walks, it’s so convenient for shopping. If you are looking for luxurious, soulless, and meaningless places, Smiley Bungalows is not for you. However, if you are seeking a place unlike any other, where you can relax and enjoy your life, with the jungle on one side and the sea on the other, with many lovely cute animals, all with a unique and warm welcome, then this place is made for you. Nam, Nut and Kenan, thank you so much for everything, I will never forget my time with you, you literally made my experience unforgettable. God bless you all.

An immersion in nature!! This small Guesthouse has only 4 bungalows, it is really very quiet. The bungalows are surrounded by vegetation. There is a very relaxing energy here, there is a certain harmony, due to the environment but also to the very welcoming owners, you feel like a family, it's very pleasant, always with a smile, a true haven of peace. This place is conducive to meditation and there is a yoga center right next to Smiley Bungalows. The place is front of the sea, there are also many beautiful beach not so far. I really recommend this place, i never seen a place like this, it’s very authentic and original. I will be back for sure!! Thank you!!

Beautiful place, the owner gives you a “family home” feeling. Caring for you with deep love and empathy. The room, shower and kitchen is super clean and equipped. The place used to be an animal shelter before it became a guesthouse❤️

I had a wonderful stay, it was very relaxing and pleasant, the place is heavenly. The owners are so nice, very smiley, and ready to help us if we need it. They also have a cute little monkey with an eagle, two adorable little dogs, a rabbit and 4 cats that love cuddles!! Orion is just next door, not even a minute's walk, perfect for Yoga and meditation exercise. There you can eat vegan, drink a nice fruit shake, and swim in the pool. There is also a Tops daily supermarket right next to it (200 meters walking). The room was really clean, the bedding smelled good, the bathroom and the toilet were perfectly clean. I was surprised to see how cool it was in the room. I never take a room without air conditioning because I can't stand the heat. I thought I had booked a room with AC but there was only a fan. I am sorry for my attitude when I saw that I didn't have air conditioning, I got a bit upset with you even though it was not your fault but mine, so I would like to apologize to you (once again). As you told me, I was very surprised to see how cool the room was, the fan was more than enough. The bungalows are all shaded under the jungle trees, plus the fresh sea air from the coast that cools the atmosphere, it's perfect!! It was a special stay, this place is magic, Smiley Bungalows has the ability to make you forget your problems for a moment, a parenthesis out of time. Thank you for everything!! I will come back again for sure!! Édit : For those who do not like too much heat (like me), rest assured the rooms are always in the shade in the cool, a fan is largely enough, do not pass by Smiley Bungalows, this beautiful place, because of the air conditioning… you will miss out on a gem.

It was a wonderful stay. We were warmly welcomed and greeted every morning with a fresh coffee. Whenever we had questions, we received immediate help. The room matches the descriptions and offers a great retreat when it gets too hot or rainy. The location is within a 10–15 minute walk to Zen Beach and just 5 minutes to Srithanu Beach. We truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to experience this hospitality again anytime. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I love Smiley Bungalows so much that I stayed there three times! It's my favorite beach guesthouse in Thailand. Nestled at the end of a quiet bay near Orion Healing Center, Smiley is a hidden gem in so many ways: - The hosts, Nut and Kenan, are the nicest people you will meet — warm, friendly, and attentive, they embody the true essence of the Land of Smiles. - Smiley is also a magical animal wonderland, with a rescued monkey and eagle, as well as dogs and cats. It's a great place for animal lovers! - The bungalows have beautiful architecture — a unique layout, with the main room and deck perched on the second floor with a beautiful view, and a useful kitchen on the ground floor, as well as a relaxing garden with many plants. - What impressed me the most, though, was how Nut compassionately handled an unreasonable and aggressive guest (“Bad” review from "Guy" on March 18). He made a mistake and failed to book his preferred room, and because he didn’t get what he wanted, he went on a loud, angry, and aggressive tirade. However, as he screamed at Nut, she maintained a “Buddha-like” calm and treated him with kindness, even giving him a refund. He remained aggressive and angry — and further retaliated by giving Smiley a slanderous 1-star review on March 18, so please ignore it. Smiley’s overall rating would be even higher if it were not for this unreasonable guest. It was heartbreaking to see an entitled foreigner being so abusive toward a kind Thai woman, yet at the same time, it was inspiring to see how she remained so calm and kind in the face of such aggression. For a tranquil stay in a loving environment — and a lesson in kindness, come to Smiley Bungalows!

• Disappointing "beach front" experience: low tide turned the beach into a swampy mess, with filthy sewage mud or sharp white shell stones to navigate. Couldn’t swim at all, despite looking forward to morning dips. • Shower was a handheld nozzle you have to hold, making it a hassle. • Springs bed was uncomfortable and sheets and pillows smelled of nasty fabric conditioner. They were replaced in a few days following my request. - Poor natural airflow in the room (despite the two fans provided which help a great deal, but still). These factors made for a restless sleep in my case.

• Located in Srithanu, a nice area on Koh Phangan full of yoga and meditation retreats. Just next to three main centres: Orion, One and Bambou. • The owner is a friendly, Thai lady who shares her space with three adorable pets, adding a cozy vibe.

I arrived for one night, but I stayed an extra week. I really felt at ease, the bungalow was by the sea, with a beautiful view. The room was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and there was wifi with a very good speed. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I had the company of a cute little cat that came to say hello to me every day! This place is really nice, perfect for relaxing and clearing your mind. I will be back for sure.

We just experienced some truly magnificent days, right on the beachfront, the entire trip was unforgettable. And for animal lovers like us, this was the cherry on top: the guesthouse is home to a delightful array of creatures! You would be in the company of cute little animals during your stay!! We were right on the seafront, it offers an idyllic setting and a wonderful sense of tranquility. But we have to deal with mother nature, and we therefore depend on the tides. Depending on the periods, the sea is sometimes high during the day or low. But despite the low tide, the place retains all its charm. And there are many beaches nearby where it is possible to swim. For those who enjoy wellness, the proximity of many yoga centers with numerous shops that make daily life easy and convenient is a real bonus. The bungalow was clean and comfortable, everything was thoughtfully arranged for our comfort, the staff was so warm and welcoming, it was an absolutely amazing moments, and we can't wait to return!!

What an amazing experience! My stay at this gorgeous seaside guesthouse was so nice. From my arrival, I was conquered by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, always smiling, welcoming and friendly. They really made my stay unforgettable. The setting is simple and enchanting, and the presence of their adorable animals adds a unique and charming touch. I loved meeting all of them. It was a true haven of peace for animal lovers! The location is ideal: the guesthouse is well located many yoga centers nearby for those looking to recharge, as well as many shops for all desires. As for the room, it was very clean, the toilet and shower also. The bedding was very comfortable, guaranteeing myself restful nights. In short, everything was brought together to make this stay an enchanting bracket. We highly recommend this property for an unforgettable experience!

Superb place, I had a pleasant time in peace. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the amenities in the room and kitchen are more than sufficient. I hardly used the air conditioning because even setting it to a high temperature, it was too cold in the room for me. But that's due to the low outside temperature; it wasn't really too hot, so I would use the fan most of the time. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming, the place lives up to its name, always with a smile, it's very enjoyable. There are also a lot of cute animals. The location is very well situated, close to shops and Orion. It's a shame that there are no restaurants on site, that would be a big advantage.Whatever I highly recommend this place for the lovers of animals, nature, simplicity and human.

First of all, I would like to apologize once again. I behaved very badly upon discovering that the bungalow I had rented had a shared bathroom. The bathroom was for two bungalows, and I did not notice it when making my reservation. I therefore reacted badly and wanted to leave. But fortunately, I stayed, I even stayed 6 days longer!! I had a wonderful stay. The owners are lovely, always attentive. The place is just magnificent, it's really very peaceful, and there’s even a very cute little monkey!! The room was very clean, as were the kitchen and the bathroom. There is even an advantage to sharing the bathroom with the owner: the bathroom and toilet are cleaned and disinfected every day!! This guesthouse is truly unique, it’s a special place. Thank you for everything!! I will be back for sure and also speak about your guest house with all my friends!!
