Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaNot having an elevator to carry luggage
Bangkok was my first international trip and I guess I made the right choice booking this hostel. It's super clean and has great staff and great facilities. Also met amazing people in the dormitory. Being super close to the MRT made the commute and life in Bangkok so much easier. There's seven eleven and an amazing park nearby. The only thing I found as a downside was there is no elevator and you will have to carry your luggage bag up to 3 or 4 floors. I personally didn't mind it but it would be a problem for people who come with heavy luggage and are not interested in taking it to the room by stairs.

ChinaThe lounge room at the top is a bit hot without AC. But it's a very good place for social and rest. Met a few new friends and had very nice talks there.
Very good location, just behind the subway and very close to the grand palace. The staff is very nice, patient and helpful. There is iced water provided at the reception, which is very nice!

United KingdomAnother fantastic stay at Siam Subway. This is probably my favourite hostel I've stayed in. This was technically my fourth stay and, as ever, the place was pristine; the bathrooms are always spotless and the amenities are a nice touch. The staff are all lovely and the coffee is great.

United KingdomLoved this amazing super modern, spotless place. Dorms were spacious with large comfy beds and curtains. There was only one male & female bathroom per floor but I never had an issue with it being free. It's set uo for co working with spaces to do your thing so not very communal which wasn't a problem to me. Perfect location right next to the blue line and only a few mins walk to tourist areas. Great staff who even allowed me to check out but leave my big bag as was taking an overnight trip so only needed my small one and pick the big one up the following day!

SingaporeVery clean hostel located at outer Chinatown and beside the mrt station. The bed, toilet is very clean, free drinking water & coffee & biscuits is available, good size common area, but only the tv room is aircon. The room need the keycard to turn on the aircon, it take a longer time to cool down from the outside heat.

PortugalNothing to point out.
The hostel is located just 2 min away from Sam Yot MRT station, making it easy to get around (it’s also close to Chinatown). They offer free snacks in the top-floor, which also features a small kitchenette and a cowering space. Free luggage storage is offered for early check in/late check out. There is a conveniently located self-service laundry barely 1 min away on foot. Also, look out for a great congee/jook place nearby, which is nice for a delicious nutritious affordable breakfast (closes on Mondays). The staff was welcoming and attentive. The dorm had A/C, comfortable beds and the bedsheets were clean, also with curtains, a bedside lamp and electrical socket. The dorms are small, hosting up to 4 people, which is cosy and neat. The lockers were spacious and worked with the room key card, sparing the need for a padlock. The common areas are spacious, clean and modern, with a minimalist look. Toiletries (including dental kits) are available at no additional charge. The café on the ground floor is comfortable and offers a variety of food and beverages, including breakfast (which I didn’t try).

New ZealandCan't even think of anything bad there
I loved every single detail! My single bed private room was small but had everything I could possibly need, the bathroom was clean and you can even find pads for females in there! The staff were incredibly nice. I only spent there one night and had to check out at noon, however, my flight from Bangkok was late at night, so they kept my luggage all day for free and even let me to take a shower when I came back to collect my luggage. I feel very grateful for this kindness, because the shower after all day in the city really helped me to feel fresh again before the long flight.
