How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel 🌿 From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, genuine care, and kindness from all the staff – always with a smile and so much patience for every request. The room was spotless and comfortable, the atmosphere calm and relaxing, and you could feel that every little detail was thoughtfully considered to make the experience perfect. The location is great, the service is outstanding, and we truly felt at home – only in a more pampering version 🥰 I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special atmosphere, personal attention, and a stay you’ll always remember. The Pool is located @ their other villas.
The Friendliest & most helpful staff. Great value. It’s a short walk from restaurants in Main Street but a distance from ocean, so The free tuk-tuk ride to & back from their swimming pool or to other destinations such as Zen beach was helpful.

There were construction works going on but they told me well in advance and I decided to stay anyway.
Nice and clean room, walking distance to a street with plenty of food options/massages/gym etc and close enough (by bike) to several nice beaches. Friendly staff and good communication from the moment of booking!

I had a great stay at the hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Special thanks to Tom and his assistant for being extremely kind and helpful — they assisted me with everything I needed, both in person and remotely via WhatsApp, which was always available. When I got a flat tire, Tom guided me patiently on where to go and made sure I was taken care of. Truly above and beyond service. Highly recommended!

The pool is at another property to what we stayed in.
The owner Tom is so lovely and very accommodating. The location is good and the room is comfy.

This is such a nice place. Very comfortable, great location (near main street, yoga studio’s, beach) but still very calm and quiet. The hosts are truly amazing and always happy to support. Definately recommend this peaceful place.

We had bad smell from the bathroom. And the location is not great, the nearby beach isn’t for swimming. Better have a scooter.
Room is nice and clean, kind staff. They offer 2 rides a day which is nice as the place is a bit remote.

The photos lead you to expect a pool at the property but this is actually at the newer property which is not walking distance away. Also, when we stayed the restaurant was closed and it’s not clear this is not open all year round. Neither of these are big issues because there are good places nearby but the description should be more clear.
Helpful staff. Room had plenty of hanging and drawers for clothes. Two beaches close by. Hotel provided free shuttle service to the beach.Good places to eat within walking distance.

The staff were so lovely and helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and they helped us so much. If you are planning to stay for the Full Moon party, it is abit far but otherwise it is a great place to stay!

I had such an amazing stay at Shanti Boutique Hotel! Mr Tom is always there to help if needed, there are 2 tuktuk rides to nearby places, you can also rent scooters in the hotel. Great location and will definitely come again! P.s. I work online so internet was very important for me, too. Internet is stable and fast. Can’t recommend enough this place.

Couldn’t not fault this hotel . Nice clean room with AC & water in the fridge . Nice quiet area , If you want to see around you would need to hire a bike . Although the hotel does provide 2 lifts per day in the tuk tuk which is a nice touch .. Mr Tom is very friendly , helpful and will assist anyway he can . staff is also very pleasant. Thank you shant for your help . we would not hesitate to return again . thank you for a great stay 😁

The sea view is slightly narrow. But that was all. You can go and enjoy the beach nearby.
Amazing staff, very kind and always helpful. The locations is good. Outside the main busy place, but very close to it. You have free bikes to move, and they also rent scooters. They offer 2 tuk tuk shuttles per day to nearby places.
