Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was scurrying of either squirrels or rats in the roof above our heads early some mornings
Staff were always pleasant. I enjoyed the fruit and yogurt for breakfast. The Ayutthaya room was very big, with creaky floorboards, a bath, and an outdoor area. It had a lot of character. I didn't mind that it was a dark room at all. The entire place has a pleasant old character and atmosphere

SlovakiaThe air conditioning was right above the bed, so cold air was blowing straight into my face. Many things were done rather hastily to make it look decent, and in the end, you discover that there is no window behind the curtain and a lizard is running around your bathroom. The outdoor pool is extremely small, and it seemed to me that it was only there so that they could write that they have a pool.
Good value for money. Breakfast was okay, but fine for the price. The bathtub was great. Personal was nice. Location is greata

The hotel rooms are spacious and unique, and the staff are friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. While there are only three breakfast options, they are generous and delicious. The value for money is excellent, and I highly recommend it!

GermanyNot in the city centre, so getting to any night market takes at least 30 minutes to walk, but with a Grab or Tuk Tuk it's only 10 minutes, so still totally OK. The staff speaks only very limited English, so getting recommendations from them was little hard, but they are very sweet and helpful if asked
Very neat accommodation that looks much better than in the pictures, very lovely decorations and a lot of space in the rooms, especially the bath. There are 3 options for breakfast (American, French Toast and joghurt with fruit), all of them tasty. The pool is very nice for a dip after a sweaty day out, so overall I can absolutely recommend this little place, especially for longer stays

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing, loved it all.
I cannot recommend this place enough!! We stayed in the chiang mai room and it was great. We stayed over my partners birthday and the hosts left a cake and a note out for him. The breakfast is great, the hosts are so lovely and take such care of the place. Location is just out of the square but easy 25 minute walk home.

AustraliaThe included breakfast was rather disappointing. The location was a bit strange for me. I had previously stayed in the old town and I found it a bit far to walk anywhere interesting from here. However it was peaceful
I stayed in the Ayutthaya room which was quite funky and very comfortable. The small saltwater pool was refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful

BelgiumWonderful guesthouse decorated in traditional local style. Extremely comfortable. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the Ayutthaya suite on the ground floor. Beautiful, spacious room with a very nice outdoor area to sit and chill. The staff were friendly and attentive. Excellent daily breakfast. Will certainly stay again.

ThailandI've stayed here three times in different rooms, and I’ll definitely come again. I absolutely love this place! It feels like visiting the cozy country house of your once-wealthy Thai grandmother. The wooden floors, furniture, and overall layout of the house create a unique atmosphere. Thank you so much <3

I live in Chiang Mai and came to Seven Senses for a staycation. The Isan room was nicely decorated and very roomy. The swimming pool was nice and relaxing and the staff were so friendly and helpful with anything I needed. It was the perfect place to unplug and relax for a couple of days.

United KingdomI would have preferred more variety at breakfast. As we stayed a week, it felt very repetitive after a few days because there were only three options.
Very friendly and accommodating staff members that tend to every need. The location is close enough to the centre but far enough to be away from any noise. We enjoyed our time and ended up extending our stay.

AustraliaThere's nothing to think of.
The place was beautiful and tidy, and the staff looked after us as we were family. They were helpful in every way. Breakfast every morning, where you had multiple options to choose from. If you asked, they would tidy your room every day. The location was perfect, walking distance to the old town full of restaurants and shops. We had a great time and I can't recommend this place enough!! Thank you for having us!

United KingdomThe bathing facilities needed repair as the bath taps were dripping. A shower curtain to contain the water so that the overhead shower facility would be recommended. Breakfast was limited, however I enjoyed the muscles bowl which I had most mornings.
We loved the traditional decor of the guest House. The staff were friendly and helpful.
