Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsI think it could have been cleaner. I was a bit surprised by this considering the price.
I stayed here for 1 night as it's next to the pier. The restaurant, the hotel being right by the beach, and the team working there were lovely.

LithuaniaBreakfast could be better. The hotel is in some distance from other activities (but e.g.7eleven is nearby, about 10min by foot)
Beautiful and clean beach, nice big pool. Villa with garden was cozy and comfortable with good facilities. Food in restaurant was tasty. Friendly staff.

United KingdomThe only downside (which was actually a positive for us) is that it is a little bit further out from the standard tourist activities. All official tours pick you up from the hotel reception but it’s usually a 15-30 min drive depending on the activity. We liked it because it was still handy to the touristy spots but far enough removed that you had more peace.
Lovely property with very friendly staff. Great facilities (including a small gym with free weights, a cable machine and treadmill) with a lovely pool. Food was excellent in the restaurant and all great value for money.

NetherlandsSmall comment: private pool not very clean. Is there a filter and does it work?
Paradise on earth. Situated on a quiet part of the island on a beautiful beach. Hotel has a good restaurant and a nice beach bar, but also in the streets just outside the resort nice places to eat. Rooms are located in a beautiful garden and my room with private pool was lovely. Spacious, atmospheric and clean. Friendly staff who respond adequately to questions and comments. Had a very relaxing time.

SwitzerlandThe beach was dirty and not cleaned. I think due to the weather during the last weeks, however we saw that the neighboring hotel cleaned their beach.. Also, the location is a bit quiet. if you like this than its good. for us it was a bit too quiet. and some things such as massages, taxi were way more pricy compared to outside of the hotel.
Villas and pool were stunning! also the personal was nice.

NetherlandsThe room could use some updating, i.e. doors & shutters jamming, curtains got stuck. The bartender and cook in the pool/beach bar did not speak a single word of English. So it was difficult to get an order across. And they did not make the food or cocktails because those came from the main restaurant. Not sure what their role was ;-). Most spirits were local brands with poor quality.
Food in the restaurant was amazing (lunch, dinner), both Thai and international dishes. Very good chef. Nice small village nearby. Spatious suites with separate living room. Outdoor shower and bath. Pool area.

United StatesUnfortunately the bed was not super comfortable. It’s a matter of personal preference, but it was quite hard. Bottled water is provided in the rooms (4 bottles per day, which is generous) but between coffee, teeth brushing and staying hydrated in the heat, we needed more. It wasn’t a big deal to get it from the bar for 60thb per bottle. I think the front room of the villa could be a better use of space. The TV is unnecessary and not watchable anyway because of the angle of the bench seating. The decor is a bit dated in the front room, and it just feels like a place to unpack your suitcase and make a mess. Could be more elevated or functional in some way. The breakfast was okay, not bad at all (loved the eggs to order and the pineapple fried rice!), but the 10:00am cutoff time was a little early for us personally, and the dining room was crowded. The music playlist in the restaurant is upbeat but repetitive and can become annoying if you stay a while.
Beautiful property in a fantastic location. We didn’t leave it for 3 days, because it has everything. Mae Nam is calmer, away from the crowds and great for swimming. Very close to the ferry to Koh Phangan. The resort property itself is architecturally super harmonious with nature; restaurant, infinity pool, bar and spa all have direct ocean front onto the big and clean private beach. It looks and feels like your 90’s tropical movie dream; loved the trees growing through the floors in the open restaurant, and dining next to the waves was just beyond lovely. Service in the restaurant was charismatic, attentive, funny, and welcoming at every meal. The pool is almost comically large, clean, perfect temperature, surrounded by coconut palms, and overlooks the ocean. Though the resort welcomes children, there weren’t too many and the kids present weren’t loud and disruptive. Pool chairs are comfortable, have umbrellas and food & beverage service directly. The beach bar is also a comfortable and welcoming place to sit with direct beach views and access, and it has a different menu than the restaurant, which was nice variety. The room was a little villa, which has a very tropical look and feel. We loved ours; the newly renovated bathroom with outdoor bathtub and rain shower was a highlight of our stay. Air conditioning worked great in both rooms, and mosquito protection mechanisms worked surprisingly well. Mosquito net on the bed is both thematic decor and functional. Overall our mosquito problems were much less here than in Bangkok. Loved having the Nespresso in the room- much appreciated. And the little gold foot washing faucets outside every villa are an example of the luxury touches that elevate it to a 4 star. Spa services are available even on fairly short notice, and are paid directly to the service providers in cash. There is an extensive spa menu, and Bee the spa manager was super helpful in customizing packages for us.

AustraliaThere was nothing I did not like.
It was a wonderful place to have a vacation, relax by the pool or swim in the ocean. A slice of paradise. The resort has direct access to a white sand beach. Accomodation consists of villas among green gardens. Villas are clean and spacious with living area, bedroom and an outdoor bathroom. The breakfast buffet has lots to offer and the fruit was always delicious. Various Thai restaurants are in walking distance. The stuff is very friendly and always has a smile. Good WiFi throughout. Highly recommend Saree Samui.

PolandNothing really.
Great, not too overcrowded location, the property has a choice of an amazing swimming pool and a pretty (clean) sandy beach. In the close neighbourhood, there’s a supermarket, multiple massage parlours, and a lot of bars and restaurants serving amazing food. The rooms are super comfortable, with the outdoor bathroom serving as cherry on top. The hotel is not too overcrowded, calm, full of very well-maintained greenery. Particularly when it’s after the renovation (which is to take place between October-February this year), it will be a place we’d love to visit again.

SwitzerlandSaree Samui is classified as a 4 star hotel and I would say it does not fully live up to the expectations that come with a 4 star rating. There seems to be missing a unified management/approach. The hotel has a restaurant, a beach bar, water sports, a spa and gym but all of these feel like separate units to the point I had to ask if it is part of the hotel. On one hand they don’t do enough to promote all the different offerings and quality standards vary greatly. Generally speaking hotel staff are very friendly and always keen to help, but training is clearly missing.
You can’t beat the location! Also the villas are super nice with their gardens, spacious, nicely decorated and the hotels location right by a beautiful sand beach that stretches for several kilometers is amazing. Also, there is a fantastic pool available.
