Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandNot suggest for light sleepers to stay because it is located by the main entrance inside the national park and there is noise from motorbikes and taxi all night. I could not sleep until 3 in the morning.
The location is the best, easy to get around and many shops nearby.

United KingdomOur first night we struggled to sleep as the road outside is very busy. We got ear plugs on day 2 and this wasn’t an issue for the rest of the trip. We opted to not have our room cleaned as there was no safe in the room. Would be better if there was a safe available for travellers to lock things away.
Location is excellent for saikew beach with places to eat, bars and shops just around the corner. The beach a 2 min walk away with plenty of eating options. Room was spacious and clean with a good shower pressure and hot water. Towel change and water were left for us everyday. Each room has a clothes drying rack which was very handy for wet beach stuff to dry outside. In room fridge for beer supply was very cold and the air con very good. Don’t let the road noise put you off it’s a great price for the location with everything at you door. Green taxis just outside to take you all over the island or bike rental on the corner to explore yourself. We had a great 7 night stay here.

United KingdomI have read others moan about the chap that runs it. He is OK though and used to own it. It is now owned by a big hotel up the road. I asked him for a price for a room for a night for a friend who was visiting. We agreed a price (via his sperior) and when my friend came it was more. He was embarassed ..... It was VERY BAD FORM especially for a regular customer that stays a couple of times a year. I will consider my options next time.
I stay in this hotel often ..... I would desribe it as "Cheap and cheerfull" It is in a great location for the shops, bars, restaurants and beach

United KingdomWe stayed only one night, so it was great choice just about 10min walk from the pier and couple min stroll to a beautiful beach. We explored other beaches down south of the island but can say that it was one the best. Room includes soap, tissues, 2 bottles of water and coffee. No shampoo, shower gel or toothbrush like in other hotels. Has a good air con, spacious, has mini fridge and dryer to hang clothes. No wardrobe in our room. The hotel is next to main road so expect to wake up early if you're light sleeper. I met my first thai cockroach in the bathroom. Shower is next to toilet and toilet seat gets covered with water when you shower. We booked breakfast which is served in a different hotel up the hill abt 300m away. However breakfast offer is fantastic and you get to sit next to the ocean eating it. All in all our stay was great and would recommend it for a short stay.

Czech RepublicI guess price might be better even despite high season, but obviously the island is sometimes so crowded that the owners can afford it. Next time I would opt for their more expensive sister accommodation Avatara, which has much calmer location.
It is definitely clean place with friendly reception and with very central location to the center of Ko Samet and its main beach. However it comes at a price, the noise is disturbing and it lies a few steps from the intersection.
