I had a fantastic stay at Cocoon on Koh Chang! The French host was super friendly and helpful, the bungalow was clean and comfortable, and the value for money is excellent. The location is also great—just a few minutes by scooter to amazing beaches, great food, and some nightlife, while still being quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended!

DenmarkThe location is a bit far from the larger beaches, though there is a small one within walking distance. If you’re not comfortable renting a motorbike, it’s good to know that you can walk to Lonely Beach in about 25–30 minutes, just be sure to bring a light with you after dark. Alternatively, you can catch a songthaew taxi. Additionally, the bathroom had some gaps where various insects could get in, but it’s worth noting that this is a common situation when living so close to the jungle.
The territory is beautiful, featuring a lovely pool, and the overall atmosphere is cozy. The staff is incredibly welcoming and ready to assist with any request—for example, they arranged an affordable transfer back to Bangkok. The hotel has its own restaurant which we unfortunately haven't tried, and there are also some nice cafes nearby, we especially liked Coconut Cafe and Nanny Restaurant.

We loved the location, the bungalows were 5-10 mins walk from the beach, and lots of amazing restaurants. It was in a quiet part of the island, which really suited us as a young family. Friendly and helpful staff - really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and have the space we needed for our two kids. Even had a small baby cot. Staff were really lovely to our kids, made the effort and kept checking if everything was okay, even when we bumped into them out and about. The place is clean, good value for money and overall would recommend!

United KingdomThere is no beach here. The area is isolated and it is a long walk to the nearest beach and ATM. Taxi drivers charge so much more here than anywhere in Thailand and after spending 250 on two short rides to the ATM and back the host told us we could have hired a bike for the day for the same price. No breakfast, but there are places nearby to buy it.
The restaurant was nice, even though it was winding down at the end of season so not a full menu. On one day it was closed without notice. The huts were basic but clean. Interesting area with a few restaurants far from the popular touristy spots. Great if you want a peaceful stay away from It all. Feels like you are nestled in the jungle, monkeys overhead were a bit frisky.

BulgariaI was there to go scuba diving and got picked up at 08.20 both mornings. There was nowhere to get breakfast at that time so had to settle for a bakery near to the boat area 10 mins away by van.
The accommodation complex is nicely set out with a reception bar/area that also has a pool table. The rooms are in the huts behind the bar area and are spaced really nicely so as not to be overlooked by other guests. Because of a mix up the owner upgraded me to the large family room. Thank you 😊 The bathroom was a little dated but David, the new owner said he needed to do work on these. I only used the pool area once, but it was very nice.

BelgiumFrom the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the owners David an JJ. I got a free upgrade and my bungalow was beautiful. Very clean, with toilet, shower, refrigerator, microwave, good wifi... Just perfect. The owners helped with everything I needed and gave me great tips where to go on the island. Cocoon also has a nice little swimming pool and a fantastic restaurant with very tasteful Thai and French food. The restaurant is worth visiting even if you don't stay in cocoon. Also worth mentioning are the moments when I took an "aperitif" while having nice chats, playing pool or a game of "pétanque". I love this place and will definitely come back.

Pretty, green property next to a delicious, affordable restaurant that also rents motorbikes. Very convenient. Shops, cheap laundry, and massage parlors around the corner too. They have hot water, a nice pool, and supportive staff. They provide towels and water. You can walk to the resort across the street to watch the sunset. It’s a short motorbike ride to great beaches and restaurants. All of our needs were met.
