Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEarly morning walks included dealing with confrontatational gangs of monkeys, who cede the territory once breakfast is served, starting at 7:30 AM. Fortunately four monkeys with angry eyes following me, were more scared of me when I turned around and yelled "boo!" than I was of them. Sometimes the monkeys on the deck, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, trying to enter our villa, etc., were a bit much. Breakfast was pretty good - not so much the omelettes - but didn't start until 7:30, and I could not even get a coffee before that.
We stayed for a week. I liked having monkeys around, I liked the pond, and I liked being in the woods in Ao Nang, away from the crowds of Krabi, which was still easy to access. I really liked exploring the beaches and small towns to the north of Krabi. Staff allowed us to park our (necessary) rental motorbike by the room. When my partner dropped her iPhone, as she moved from a kayak to the pier, it landed under 3-4 meters of water. Staff rushed to assist, brought in a diver, who free dived repeatedly for an hour and a half, and retrieved the iPhone, which was still operating. Wow!

United KingdomThe only criticism is of the monkeys who roam around the hotel grounds during the early morning and late afternoon. They are simply looking for food but do upset some guests from time to time. However, if you abide by the hotel rules and leave the monkeys alone and not feed them, you will have an enjoyable break.
There was an all around welcoming atmosphere and the staff were extremely willing to help in every way possible. The breakfast was very nice with lots of different choices from continental to asian. The hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang but not that far due to the hotels free transportation too and from Ao Nang.

United KingdomThere were renovations going on so we didn't get to see the hotel as it's full potential but was still lovely.
The location was stunning! We went just for one night on our travels around Thailand but it was a lovely hotel and the monkeys were brilliant! They are everywhere and we had one on our balcony in the morning. It's a 10 min taxi ride to Au Nang so in a very quiet area. Just next to it is a lovely Elephant Sanctuary which we didn't get time to visit but were told by friends it was fabulous.

United KingdomThe hotel mentions on Booking.com that they have a spa and massage, which they unfortunately do not. However you can use the hotel shuttle to Ao Nang and there are plenty of options there. The gym equipment could do with some improvement, but was relatively functional.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the rooms are nicely decorated with a good sized bathroom. The rooms are also kept very clean and tidy. Resort staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel shuttle to Ao Nang is very useful to get to the beach or the night market in the evening.

ColombiaOur stay at Poonsiri Resort was unforgettable! What a lovely place! The monkeys are amazing, the surrounding nature is stunning, and the views from the pool and the restaurant are spectacular. Similarly, hotel’s staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and our room was comfortable, spacious, and silent. The restaurant is pretty good too. Breakfast buffet is of quality, but other dishes are also worth trying. We even had a rainy morning with monkeys visiting our terrace, which was a quite magical scene to watch right from our room. The location is also perfect: only 10 minutes away from the hustle of Ao Nang, with a free shuttle every couple of hours. That means you’re surrounded by peace and nature, but still close to everything. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing stay close to nature, with great service and all the comfort!

SwedenThere was some outdated information provided, for example old QR code that was supposed to show the room service menu (didn’t work) and room service number also didn’t work. Sometimes the internet was slow, but at least it was never down.
The photos are accurate to what you get - the ambience is excellent if you are looking to be close to nature and the mountains. It was a calm and relaxing environment with LOTS of monkeys surrounding the resort. If you love animals they are really fun to watch. The pool will keep you cool during the heat.

United KingdomOnly thing I can gripe about is the renovation work going on at the resort. We weren't warned about it before hand. If we were spending time in/by the resort pool then it would have had a negative impact on our stay. We were out every day, so this do not affect our stay at all.
Amazing hotel and staff. Our favourite location to stay while travelling across Thailand. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Krabi. The stunning views can't really be described in words. The staff were the best we have come across in Thailand hotels. They were so helpful. Running a free shuttle service into the nearby town. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The resort is right next door to an ethical elephant sanctuary. The hotel even transported us there for free. Kayaks at the hotel are free to use around the resort. There is also a kayak hire behind the hotel, into the mangroves, which is worth doing. Although I would suggest paying the extra and taking a guide. The rooms were spotless. Beds soft and comfortable. Water supplied daily. All the bathroom supplies you could need and a decent hot water shower. The monkeys were great fun to watch. They seem to do a route in the morning through all the balconies. They will sit happily for pictures, but there is a policy to not interact with them, which is more than fair. Overall probably the most picturesque part of Thailand we stayed in. I will definitely be going back.

United KingdomOnly things I noticed that wasn't massive but slightly let's it down is tiles missing in the pool and lack of grout it just makes it look bit 3 star instead of the full 5 it rightly deserves which is really such an easy fix.
Absolutely loved this place it was just out the way of the main town which was 5 minutes in a taxi. The staff was really welcoming and helpful and it was a beautiful relaxing environment right next to an elephant sanctuary.ehat an amazing pool and pond full of fish you can kayak in. Beds are so comfy too

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast was good but could improved with more variety each day. We stayed 6 nights and it became quite repetitive. Overall though, we really enjoyed the food.
The resort was fantastic. The staff were always helpful. We really enjoyed the kayaking on the lake and the pool. Food and drinks prices were the most reasonable of all the places we stayed in Thailand. The shuttle service was good to Ao Nang.

PolandAs mentioned above, you can get the room where you can hear everything from your neighbours. And I would say that there should always be someone at the lobby.
The whole area is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. First night, we had a issue that we could hear almost every noise from our neighbours (each house has two rooms in it). We couldn't sleep because of that. When we got to the lobby in the night, there was one there, which was a pity. Although, after writing a message on Booking, our room was changed without any problem the next morning. In the new room, we no longer had this issue. The staff was very friendly and they appologised for what has happened. We really enjoyed the swimming pool which was big and clean.

United KingdomBeautiful setting with stunning backdrop, the rooms were lovely , we had an interlinking room as a family which was ideal. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is out of Aonang which we deliberately chose and we’re glad we did, it was easy to get in and out with a taxi for 100 bhat . It was lovely to see the elephants from next doors sanctuary.

ItalyWe had a lovely stay!! The view from our balcony was amazing, we didn’t expect to get the lakefront so it was a beautiful surprise! We enjoyed playing ping pong and table football while waiting for the check-in. Food at restaurant was yummy. We swam around sunset hour until evening and the water in the pool was warm, so nice!! It’s deep 2 meters but there’s also the kids’ pool. Monkeys came out around sunset hour, you could hear him coming on the rooftop, we just watched them inside our rooms! The resort is a little far from the Ao Nang center/beach but there’s a free shuttle available often to drop/pick you up. If you’re going to do tours/island hopping, the pier is very close!! THE STAFF WAS SUPER NICE AND LOVELY <3 there was a trainee (we think) at the reception, she’s doing her best, keep it up!! :)))))

SingaporeThere is a roof glass panel and the sun shines right through it onto the toilet and at certain time in the afternoon, the toilet becomes a sauna and you can have a tan sitting in the toilet bowl! The common pool and the lake look dated but I understand renovation is on the way. The monkeys are a nuisance and they came a few times a day running amok on the roof, drinking water from the waterfall ledge on the pool and on one occasion one even took a toilet roll from somewhere and started tearing it and scattering them all over the pool! It also means we have to close all the doors at all times and cannot leave anything outside such as slippers or clothing!
Overall, I will 10/10 for value for money. The staff were also excellent especially at the restaurant , the staff Smile ( yes that’s her real name!) speaks very good English and was very attentive and helpful. The shuttle driver Deen was also super nice. The food was very good too. The room that we booked was a tad small in size but the private pool was a gem.

United StatesWe loved the restaurant on site (had one of our favorite Thai meals there-pineapple fried rice, Oyster sauce! Even the burgers looked great) and was a great quiet location with a free shuttle to Ao Nang beach. Even loved the monkey locals (until we didn’t! Hahaha) Would recommend never leaving any of your doors cracked (they open them) nor any belongings out. The monkeys clocked us as newcomers and had staged an attack plan within 5 minutes of our arrival to the room. While cute, not so much when you find one in your bedroom. Also, we stayed in a Deluxe Villa as we had 5 people and while stairs in the room, going into the bathroom, to the bed, up into the room would be fine for most, it was challenging for my 78 year old mom traveling with us with mobility issues. Overall, I would absolutely come back here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we really did enjoy our stay, hiccups and all!

AustraliaBeautiful resort with many great facilities including an outdoor pool, kayaking, and a free breakfast buffet. The staff were so friendly and very helpful; they organised for our laundry to be professionally cleaned and helped us make a reservation at a restaurant. It was far enough from the main Ao Nang area that it was relaxing and peaceful, but not that far that it is inconvenient to reach the main area. Would definitely recommend!

United StatesThe best resort we have stayed at! The scenery was breathtaking, staff were very accommodating, food was delicious, and the amenities were great! The nature is amazing, we even saw elephants bathing in the river and had monkeys visit us on the balcony. There is a shuttle service to the main beach area that runs every 2 hours, which was very useful. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.
