Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanIt’s the farthest hotel to the pier, hotel reply the booking message is slowly. They didn’t ask us before we arrive pier and let someone pick us up, otherwise you need to carry your own luggage to walk on the hard way, we didn’t see any cliff’s staff on the pier hold a card write the hotel names, so we carried our own luggage and walk over 10 mins under summertime. Breakfast is not many options can choose, you can go outside to eat other breakfast shop
It’s quiet during the night time you can sleep very well. Air-conditioner is so cold.

United Kingdomthe room smelt really bad of mold. there were alot of mosquitos in the room when we arrived. we tried our best to get rid of them but got bit alot. we always left the doors closed when using the pool to keep them out. maybe a citronella plug in would be good to mask the smell and to keep bugs out.
we booked a beachfront pool room and the pool area and views were great

BrazilThe hotel is old and it's clearly run down and lacking maintenance. The water pressure in the shower is low and half of the shower holes in the shower head were blocked. The mattress is very hard, we've found it a bit uncomfortable. The way the hotel is designed with a collective balcony makes it prone to loads of noise from the next doors, which disturbed us to sleep. Also on one night there was a storm and the electricity was going on and off during the night, including all the room lights (even being turned off) flashed in some moments.
Undoubtedly the hotel highlight is its big infinity border pool. Located on the third floor, it has nice views over Koh Phi Phi. The breakfast is assorted, with freshly prepared omelette/scrambled eggs, Thai food and also western options. The WiFi is strong. When I was looking for hotels in Koh Phi Phi, this was one of the very few I've found without people complaining in the reviews about the loud music at night. Due to its location at the end of Ton Sai Beach, it's away from the hustle and bustle, however at night you can still hear the music in the background (but from afar, so it didn't bother our sleep).

IndiaThe location is not great. The hotel is on a hill which requires a lot of uphill driving by taxi's. Alot of the times our taxi's charged us extra money or rejected the ride altogether. If you do not want to go the market often and want to spend time only at the resort, this will not bother you.
The room was great, very clean and it had a very spacious bed. Really enjoyed our stay.

United Kingdom- Location. Although not incredibly far, the hotel is quite the distance from the centre, and from all major shops and restaurants at night time. In the day time you would probably be okay. If prone to going out to restaurants for the evening, just be prepared for a 10 minute walk back. - Breakfast was okay, rather basic. - No room service or lunch options (would only opt to stay if it was for a couple of days as opposed to a full week / two weeks).
- Staff were amazing and very polite. - Hotel was nice inside (nothing out of this world). - View of sea was beautiful.

Room great size and clean, monkeys coming to pool area for food etc , Location at the end of beach, you can walk to hotel from pier10 mins, there is no Taxi, more peaceful, pool great , views great, and your own little beach area, a few tikka bars also on beach, only 10/15minute pleasant stroll to opposite end of bay for a more lively scene, and restaurants, as there is none here at hotel

United KingdomWe did have a little visitor of a cockroach one night but it is to be expected in this part of the world. The rooms were clean still but these things cannot be helped sometimes.
This hotel honestly has the best location in the whole of phi phi in my opinion. It has its own private beach with white sandy beach and crystal clear water. It has those insta bamboo swings hanging off the palm trees too which is a lovely touch. We stayed for only 2 days and wish we added a third night. The staff couldn’t do enough for you as they carried your luggage to the hotel the second you step off the ferry into the island. The swimming pool was big and again, incredible views. Rooms were very big. It also had a hair dryer and towels for the beach. We had a standard room but I would definitely opt for the private swimming pool room if it’s available. Breakfast was lovely and had their own fresh egg station. The staff also made our teas and coffees for us if we wanted. Overall, amazing. Would definitely recommend.

ItalyStructure is a little bit old. Unfortunately, for me, the bed was absolutely no good, very very hard ( like a table) mattress. The terrace is very big and long, but common to other rooms, so other guests can look inside your room.
Little far from the middle of life in a quiet position. The room was very big, very nice, good cleanig. Very interesting view. Breakfast was normally good.

LuxembourgThe hotel must have a cosmetic renovation and mold removed. Breakfast options are very limited, even the street food tastes much better. Beach chairs already changed the color because of the dirt so the only option is either lay on the sand or walk 50 meters and rent chairs from another hotel.
The hotel had a nice swimming pool. It was possible to check-in a couple of hours earlier. The receptionists were friendly.
