Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMosquito netting could do with being replaced to remove the access for mosquitoes.
Location was in a quiet side road and located close to many food and drink options

United Kingdom• Had to ask a few times for our room to be cleaned • Quite a lot of black mould in our room up the walls, didn’t really bother us but still not ideal to be breathing that in
• Good walkable location • Lovely garden with lots of seating • Big rooms with good air con and fridge • Great value for money, the rooms are so cheap and I think for the price do exceed expectations

SwedenThe bathroom was built funny, with the drain on the otherside of the room, behind the toilet. This made the bathroom floor very wet when showering. Also on a few occations, there was no hot water. This was however really not a big issue.
Me and my partner stayed here for two nights at the very end of our Chiang mai trip. We loved it. The lady at the desk was so kind and sweet, the room was clean and spacious, the bed was the comfiest we've had so far in Thailand. It's convieniently located, right by the road that takes you to the bus station, but just a five minute walk from old town. You'll have to walk a few minutes to get to some restaurants, but we had our best coffee at a place nearby that we would never have found otherwise. For the price, I personally think the room is a steal. The outside area is super cosy, with a lot of plants and shade. Of course there will be mosquitos, but mosquito repellent will deal with that. We had no problems with noise. (But also, I always bring earplugs when I stay at hotels, because I'm really sensitive to noise.) I slept like a baby. And the staff were kind enough to let us leave our bags there for a whole day, while we were waiting for our night bus. They always greeted us with smiles and were always super friendly and helpful.

FinlandThe walls are quite thin so it might get quite noisy at times and the room itself was a bit run down.

United KingdomCould be modernised a bit but a good low price option. The roof terrace could be made into a useable hangout space with seating, which would make the place really special.
Really good location because it was far enough from the hustle and bustle for it to be peaceful and quiet in the lovely garden out the front, but a short walk into the old town and conveniently placed so it is an easy walk to an indoor day market where prices were much lower than the central touristy night markets. Also a roof terrace with great sunset view of the mountains. Really friendly and helpful service and a nice family feel about the place. Free bag storage is a bonus.

New ZealandSo many of the hotel guests shut their door loudly. It’s a concrete building and this echos through the floor. Reminder notices of closing doors quietly would be good as some guests slam their doors without noticing how loud this is! Not the property owners fault but just something you would experience. Inside of the rooms is a bit run down - marks on the walls etc but the room is very clean and bathroom and bedding was very clean etc.
Centrally located up a lane, owners and staff are very accommodating. Free toast and instant coffee each day, unlimited supply of toilet paper and a bottle of water each day (self services). Lovely hot shower with no temp limit, air con was really effective and quiet. Very spacious room. Also note that if you want a room clean you just have to ask. They are very accommodating and will do it upon request. Has a great hang out zone out front the property - great place to have a morning coffee.

GermanyThe water in the shower was not as hot as I would have liked it to be after travelling for half a day in a cold and cramped bus.
I needed accommodation for one night only between going to Chiang Rai and going to Pai. The room was pretty nice in my opinion, the walk to find dinner (in the main touristy area) wasn't too long either. Amazing price and therefore a great option for people who are okay with walking a little bit more for getting cheaper accommodation.
