RomaniaThe constant noise from traffic and the rooms aren't well isolated, so you can hear everything from the rooms around. Considering the offer of accommodation on the island, this small resort is still a good choice, just get good earplugs and you'll be fine.
First of all, I liked that the place is really clean. Compared to other places I stayed at in Thailand, this was amongst the cleanest which I always appreciate the most. The staff is super nice and friendly and good English is spoken. I got great rides where I needed to go on the island at good prices and was very thankful for it as transportation can be tricky without a scooter. Even though the furniture is a little old, it is well taken care of and it actually gave me a homey feeling. There are many restaurants and cafes around, and the beach is close. There are also a few 7 Eleven, so you have everything you need.

Reception staff anticipated our every need, welcomed us with a smile and was always happy to help. Room was comfortable and in an excellent location with the night food market only 1 min walk away, pharmacy and 7/11 very close and a laundry just next door.

SwedenUnfortunately we did not get value for money. Our room needed maintenance; a shelf was broken, the AC and the bathroom washstand leaked during our entire stay (four nights). We reported the issues to the resort staff who tried to repair the AC, however they did not manage to fix the issue. As compensation we were offered a drive to the ferry upon check out. We appreciated the gesture, but it was not close to what we paid for one night at the resort. The resort cleans rooms every other day, but you could get new towels daily. A tiny shampoo bottle was offered, but it was not sufficient for two persons. Also, the resort is located next to a busy and load road. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Resort staff was very helpful and friendly, good location of you want to see different parts of the island, and plenty of restaurants close by. WiFi worked perfectly.

The main doors and windows will not lock. Photos misleading. I did not feel safe and shared my concerns with the hotel and booking.com. No response and I lost all my money and left in few hours. Not safe for single women traveling alone. I will not ever go back to this place. The front desk guy seems nice but I believe he did not have much power to make decisions. Even booking.com failed to get my money back, disappointed.

AustraliaWe had no light outside and room was quite basic, however for the price, we can’t complain.
The manager at reception was incredible. Helped us out with bikes, transport, recommendations on where we should visit on the island and even gave us a free ride back to the ferry. Room had a spacious balcony and beds were super comfortable. Is slightly far from the main town of the island, however it was close to a few cafes, 7-11 and the night food market!

NorwayWay better than expected! The only reason we chose this place, despite its very low rating, was because it was the only one left the day before Full moon party. We stayed here for 4 nights. The place was very clean, with comfortable beds and a shower that doesn’t make the whole bathroom wet. The guy in the reception was very nice, and always happy to help out. We also rented a very cheap scooter through him. Would definitely recommend to everyone, and I really don’t know why it has such a low rating..

NetherlandsPrice quite high for what I got (probably because NyE). Most expensive and less good hostel I have had during this trip. I was in upper bed which was shaking when someone got in his bed or turned around. Airco was directly on me. Toilet and shower reachable from outside, shower in Toilet, where toilet stands in the way for the shower. For everything you need a bike or taxi.
